We have immediate openings for our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Omaha!
If you or someone you know is seeking structured outpatient support for alcohol or drug addiction, our IOP team is here to help.

Our IOP program:

•Combines structured group sessions with individualized care that is tailored to each person’s goals.
• Focuses on addiction education, coping strategies, sober support networks, and weekly individual therapy.

Group sessions are held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am-12pm.

Today we observe Indigenous Peoples' Day, honoring the enduring strength, traditions, and vibrant cultures of Indigenous peoples in Nebraska and beyond. Building a healthy, supportive community means listening to, learning from, and standing alongside all of our neighbors.

Today is World Homelessness Day, a day to raise awareness about the challenges of homelessness and inadequate housing. Our Street Outreach and Alternate Response team spend every day meeting people where they are at and building relationships with our unsheltered neighbors. They deliver basic needs supplies, complete housing assessments, provide resources and connection to services, and offer a compassionate alternative to law enforcement intervention.

Last year, 47.8% of the people we served reported living on an annual income under $1,000. Together, these two programs supported 1,380 unhoused community members and our team helped 245 individuals move into safe, stable housing.

Calling all UNO students!

We are accepting applications for a Marketing Intern for Spring 2027 through our partnership with the University of Nebraska Omaha.

This opportunity is funded through the Humanities in Action program within the UNO College of Arts and Sciences. It is designed for students looking to gain nonprofit marketing experience in storytelling, photography, videography, social media, graphic design, community engagement, and event planning and management.

SquareOne has officially moved! Youth and families can now access 24/7 behavioral health services at 220 S 17th St. Lincoln, NE.

At the SquareOne Youth and Family Resource Center, we provide:

• 24/7 Crisis Response & Therapy
• Ongoing Post-Crisis Support
• 6 Short-Term Respite Beds (beginning 10/20)
• Hands-On Resource Navigation offered by Family Service Lincoln

SquareOne is a collaborative program with Lancaster County, Nebraska & Region 5 Systems.

Our Winter Essentials Donation Drive kicks off October 5th!

With over 70% of the individuals we serve living below the federal poverty level, basic cold-weather gear is essential. Your donations will help keep the more than 6,000 people we serve warm and safe this winter season.

We are accepting new or gently used items through November 13th.

Items Needed:
• Coats
• Gloves
• Hats (New)
• Scarves
• Thermals
• Socks (New: white or black)
• Blankets
• Sleeping bags
• Hand warmers (New)

We are honored to receive the 2026 Qualifacts Community Impact Through Innovation Award for our "Life Worth Living Pathway" initiative!

Using new data tools in our electronic health record, our team streamlined how we screen for su***de risk, create safety plans, and counsel families on keeping homes safe during a crisis.

The impact over the last 12 months:

-81.5% of individuals now receive a same-day su***de risk assessment (up from 54%)
-96.2% complete a personalized safety plan (up from 70%)
-98.3% receive counseling on access to lethal means (up from 71%)
