Join Us for our Overdose & Poisoning Awareness & Remembrance Event on August 27!

We are honored to feature Sadie Thompson, Executive Director of Wellbeing Initiative, Inc., as our guest speaker. Driven by her own lived experience with substance use, mental health, and homelessness, Sadie is a passionate advocate dedicated to ending stigma and transforming how our communities approach systematic changes.

The evening will also feature NARCAN training and a candlelight vigil to honor those we have lost.

Yesterday, along with our partners, Stop Overdose Nebraska, Marvilee, and Wellbeing Initiative, Inc., we attended the proclamation ceremony at the Nebraska State Capitol to proclaim August 25-31 as Overdose & Poisoning Awareness Week.

This week is dedicated to raising awareness about the devastating impact of drug overdoses and fentanyl poisoning in our communities. Let it serve not only as a time of remembrance, but also as a call to compassion, connection, and continued action.
