Free legal clinic this Thursday 9/3

The next Free Legal Clinic will be hosted here THIS THURSDAY, SEPT 3, from 10 am - noon.

We are proud to partner with the NE Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyers Project to provide these regular Legal Clinics here at Center for People, totally free.

Low-income Nebraskans may come and speak with a volunteer attorney from the Volunteer Lawyers Project about a variety of civic legal matters. All questions and advice are confidential and offered completely free of charge.

These legal clinics will be available on the first Thursday of every month for the rest of the year! Visit us from 10 am - 12 pm to speak with an expert and get the legal advice you need.

Thank you to everyone that has donated bottled water these last couple weeks. At this time, we are no longer taking water donations. We simply have no more room to store them. What a wonderful problem to have! We're very grateful to be able to keep our clients cool and hydrated.

Came across a homeless elder and her dog today in pretty rough shape. Thursday Centerpointe will be housing her. Meanwhile, she needs a place (mission isn't an option) to get outta this heat, shower, and stay cool. We'd like to get her a hotel room until then, as well as find a person willing to prep a meal or 2. To do such, we need your help raising funds ($223) for her stay. Anything helps. Will you help us get her and the dog some place safe?

Good morning Humans,

Looking to be a few days stretch of outreach. Heat indexes are expected to be 5-15° higher. We'll go through quite a few supplies this week, the main being fuel. We're asking for your help to ensure we have fuel for our outreach vehicle, and camp generators. Additionally, we go through 2 bags of ice daily. Will you help us have the supplies to thrive?

We have an elder client needing some assistance reconnecting their electricity. All the usual resources have been called with no luck. Turning electric back on today is only $114. Anything helps, will you?
