54th Stone Mountain Highland Games and Scottish Festival | October 16 - 18, 2026 Established in 1973, the Stone Mountain Highland Games and Scottish Festival is one of the oldest international festivals to take place in the Metro Atlanta area. It is very popular in the

community and routinely draws participants from all over the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom (including Scotland, Northern Ireland and England), Ireland, Australia, and other parts of the world.

Sunday starts with a Non-denominational Worship Service & Kirking of Tartans led by the Stone Mountain Highland Game Chaplin, Rev. David Monroe. The Kirking of the Tartans is a religious ceremony primarily celebrated in the United States among Scottish descendants, where family tartans are blessed during a church service. This tradition symbolizes a connection to Scottish heritage and community, Service begins at 9:00 am on the main field. After that, stop by our Kirk in the Woods chapel.
