Helping Ukraine

Helping Ukraine This 501(c)3 is designed to raise funds for medical supplies, ready-to-eat meals and other goods for the people of Ukraine.

The growing concern for the people of Ukraine has never been more evident than in recent months, Initiated by Dr. Paliychuk, of Ukraine, her call for medical supplies, became a call heard around the world. Through individuals who reached out to one another from Ukraine to the US. A mission began sending medical supplies, ready-to-eat food and even cots for shelters bound for Ukraine. Rotarian, Emo

ry Morsberger of Atlanta, Georgia, played a personal role by escorting Stryker Drill Sets to hospitals in Ukraine in his own luggage. Through this effort, The Great Rotarian Relay has grown and has become an example of how individuals trusting one another can make something truly miraculous happen. With the daily needs growing, continuing the humanitarian mission is now focused on August 24th, Ukrainian Independence Day. This year, the day will be highlighted with compassion and contribution. A 24-hour broadcast will tell the story of the issues at hand in Ukraine today which can be seen by going to helpingukraine.us and clicking on โ€œOne Day for Ukraineโ€.

A recent tragedy in Kharkiv reminded us of the terrible risks emergency responders face every day.
During rescue operations after an attack, a second strike took the lives of DSNS and city emergency workers who came to save others. We remember their courage and sacrifice.

Blackouts in Ukraine continue to disrupt critical emergency response work.
Together with our partners at Power in UA, we are supporting solar backup power systems for DSNS rescue units in Kharkiv to help them stay operational during outages and emergencies.
Reliable energy helps save lives when every second matters.

Last night, Russia launched 611 drones and 70 missiles against Ukraine.
Civilians were killed. Children were injured. Homes were destroyed. Even Kyiv Pechersk Lavra - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the oldest monasteries in Christianity, and the spiritual heart of Ukraine - was damaged.
Please keep Ukraine in your prayers.
And if you are able, please support our work as we continue delivering humanitarian and medical aid to those affected by this war.

For millions of children in Ukraine, childhood has been shaped by war - air raid sirens, displacement, loss, and constant uncertainty.

This July, together with our partners at Good Deed in Kryvyi Rih, we hope to give 60 children affected by war a chance to rest, heal, and simply be children again.
The rehabilitation camp will support children of active military personnel, fallen soldiers, and families from de-occupied territories with meals, activities, gifts, and psychological recovery programs.

A few peaceful days can make a lasting difference. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™

Tonight, Russia launched over 730 aerial attacks against Ukraine: 73 missiles and about 656 drones
At least 18 people were killed, and more than 100 were injured. Behind every number are human lives, shattered families, and broken futures.
Please call your representatives. Ukraine still needs your voice and support.

This week, the Ukraine Support Act faces critical votes in Congress. Please contact your House Representative and urge them to support H.R. 2913, the Ukraine Support Act.

Last night, Russian drones attacked the Odesa region again.
11 people were injured, including children. Homes were damaged, people were burned, wounded by shrapnel, and pulled from another night of explosions and fear.
For many children in Ukraine, this is no longer unusual - it is everyday life.

This summer, together with Odessa People Church, we want to create a safe place for 100 children deeply affected by war - children of fallen soldiers, displaced families, military families, and children with disabilities.
For them, the Summer Kids HUB is more than a camp. It is safety, warm meals, friendship, healing, and a chance to feel like children again.

Please help us give them a few peaceful summer days filled with care and hope. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™

Sometimes kindness arrives quietly. ๐Ÿ’™
During the European Film Festival of Atlanta screening of ะšัƒะฑะฐ & ะะปััะบะฐ / Cuba & Alaska, Dr. Robert Finkel approached us with an incredible gift โ€” surgical loupes for our hospital partners in Sumy and Kyiv.
These specialized glasses help surgeons during trauma and emergency operations, where every second matters.
Another generous supporter donated 2 premium tickets to the Atlanta Opera's Twilight of the Gods on June 5. We decided to turn this beautiful gift into life-saving help for Ukraine.
Everyone who donates to HelpingUkraine.US by May 31 will be entered into a drawing for the tickets.
We are deeply grateful for every act of kindness and for everyone who stands with Ukraine. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™

During Nurses Week, we want to recognize people who choose to save lives - again and again. ๐Ÿ’™
Before the screening of CUBA & ALASKA, you will have the chance to meet Yuriy Soroka - a Georgia-based critical care nurse who has been volunteering as a frontline medic in Ukraine since 2022.
While the film tells the story of two female combat medics, Yuriy brings another real voice from the front lines - someone who knows what it means to work where every second matters.
This is more than a film screening. It is a chance to meet the people behind these stories.
