💦 Who is joining us at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions tomorrow? 💦

Here are some HELPFUL HINTS before you go!

🩵 The OUTDOOR pools and water slides closed down for the season on Sunday, so ONLY the indoor pools and water slides will be available - but they are included for both days of your stay, arrival and departure! Those sensitive to chlorine should be aware when indoors.

💙Check-in time begins at 4:00pm. Waterpark access is available as early as NOON. Just head to the Resort Front Desk to pre-register and get your wristbands. We’ll text you when your room is ready.

Pro Tip: Pack a waterpark bag to make changing a breeze. There are waterpark locker rentals available for personal items. Leave the luggage in the car, but be sure to lock up.

🩵 Tom Foolery and all of the escape rooms are NOT part of your room/water park package. 💙 Kalahari has many options for eating, but you can also go out or order in from a local restaurant or bring your own food to your room. NO OUTSIDE FOOD is allowed within the waterpark! Make use of their character/reusable cups for free refills, find them in the back part of your closet from the last time you went.

🩵 Kalahari Resort is CASH FREE, so you will need a credit card or can charge to your room via your wristbands.

A Big YEEE HAW to the 60 TRE families who became PTO members in the month of August. We appreciate you and your support for what the PTO can achieve for our school!

Our Skip the Line Passes will be distributed shortly after our winners are announced from our Back to School Membership Drive.

Wanting to still join the PTO - remember, no volunteer time is needed, just a $10 financial show of support and access to member only perks like voting rights and others to be revealed soon.

Join us for our Tierra Rosa Elementary School ROUND UPs! 🤠

Twice a month, we will be offering a different "grade wide" play date for any and all to join up at the playground and have fun and allow parents to meet each other and chat with some PTO board members. This event will last from 4:30 - 6 and be a come and go as you please. Each month will be a different location and weather permitting.

There will be light snacks and water provided by the PTO and our Round Up committee lead, Mr. Julian.

This month we are Rounding Up our Wranglers in Kindergarten and 1st grade to join us at the MorningStar playground off 101 Ridgeview Ct (in the middle MorningStar Blvd) on September 9th (Kinder) and September 23rd (1st grade). All are welcome, no RSVP required. We'll be there and we hope to see you too!

Tierra Rosa Elementary School is excited to welcome their Wrangler Grandparents on Friday September 11th for Grandparents Day and Reading with Grands. 📖

Come to join your student for lunch and/or reading and enjoy some time together! Reading will take place in each classroom immediately after lunch and Every Wrangler will get to have a special reader with them for that time.

🚨Please talk to your student about if their family will not be able to join, sometimes it is hard to understand, especially for our youngest students. A simple explanation can help save some tears later in the day.

Readers must RSVP to TRE to be allowed on campus. Check Parent Square for Ms Dean's Hitching Post newsletter for more information and the RSVP form.

Help out our Tierra Rosa Elementary School teachers and staff by volunteering during part of our renovated "Classroom Support System" - Welcome to Wrangler Workroom Wednesdays!

Every Wednesday from 9AM - 11PM, starting in September and hopefully continuing through the remainder of the year, we'll be gathering some volunteers in the TRE workroom to help with any projects that the teachers or staff might have to help save them time. We'll be doing laminating, cutting, sorting, binding, and any other work that needs to be done. Shifts will be an hour long, and you can sign up for one or both and you can sign up for multiple days, so look ahead to your schedule and see when you might be available.

Volunteers MUST have an LHISD Raptor Form filled out BEFORE arriving to school. Once it is done, it will apply to all school year, so make sure to fill it out promptly.

Currently, we have September open for shifts but will have October - December opened soon. Volunteers need to be able to be focused and utilize various equipment during this time, seating can be available. Needs may shift depending upon workload, volunteers are asked to be flexible.

**NOTE: this first Sept date is BEFORE our school campus is open, so volunteers will be allowed ONLY in the office workroom and NOT able to go to classrooms or lunches. After 9/8, volunteers are welcome to plan their day as needed, mindful that they cannot wait inside the school.
