Harrison County Middle School GEAR UP ELEVATE students completed the LEGO Skateboard Stunts build to connect with the science standard and learning target they’ll be covering after fall break.

The activity connects to their learning target by giving students an opportunity to plan an investigation into how forces and mass affect the skateboarder’s motion and use evidence to explain their findings.

Rowan County Middle School GEAR UP ELEVATE 7th graders kicked off a financial literacy series with the UK 4-H Extension Office! Their first lesson with 4-H Agent Jayme Parks explored Needs vs. Wants, helping students learn to make thoughtful spending decisions as they prepare for November’s Reality Store.
