What an incredible and inspiring day at our 2nd Annual Rooted in Recovery event! 💚

We are so grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate recovery, connection, and the power of community in Orangeburg. A very special thank you to our speakers, who bravely shared their personal recovery stories and opened their hearts with us. Each of them has been impacted by The Courage Center in their own way, and hearing them share how TCC has supported them on their journey was the heart of this event. Their stories are a powerful reminder that recovery is possible, that support matters, and that every person’s journey is worth celebrating.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the South Carolina Recovery Celebration & Rally and helped make the day so meaningful. Despite the rain, our community came together to celebrate recovery, share hope, connect with resources, and raise awareness for the importance of recovery across South Carolina.

We’re proud to stand alongside individuals, families, community partners, and advocates who continue to support and celebrate those on their recovery journeys.

Building bridges. Sharing resources. Creating second chances.

The Courage Center, alongside key community partners serving Lexington and Richland Counties, recently hosted an Education & Resource Fair for individuals seeking information, support, and services related to re-entry.

We were honored to hear from four community leaders with lived experience, who shared their stories and encouragement, reminding us of the power of connection and second chances.

Attendees also received hands-on education from Amber Frazier on how to administer naloxone, helping equip our community with potentially lifesaving knowledge. 💚💚

Orangeburg location updates: Staff in Orangeburg were out making connections at Las Vegas Night hosted by the Orangeburg Chamber in Commerce. On a planned friday, they convened together for some art therapy! Several also attended the statewide NAMI conference and appreciated the information they learned about mental health conditions to put in their toolbox. This powerful evening will bring together lived experience, community voices, and local resources to support people leaving prison and navigating reentry.
