🐕 Good with dogs, cats, and kids?
Yes! He has done well with everything and everyone he has met. He could not care less about cats and loves other dogs.

🩺 Aggression or medical issues?
None known.

📖 Why is he available?
Ranger was picked up by animal control and was not handling the shelter environment well. He was pulled into foster care so he could decompress, learn how to be a pet, and find a forever family.

🏠 House/crate trained?
House trained. He knows when crate time is coming and may give you "the look," but once inside he settles quietly and doesn't make a sound.

💕 Personality:

Ranger is a happy, energetic young dog who loves attention and wants to play all day long. His foster says he's still figuring out how to be a pampered house dog instead of a dog entertaining himself in the woods with sticks.

Compass was picked up by animal control, and we pulled her so she could have the opportunity to find a loving forever home.

💕 Additional info/story (personality):
Compass is an incredibly friendly, affectionate kitten who loves people, attention, toys, and other cats. She enjoys being held and has never had any problem accepting cuddles and affection.

Cinnamon Twist was abandoned in a box at Columbia Animal Control. We pulled her from the shelter so she could have the chance to grow up safe, loved, and spoiled the way every kitten deserves.

Cinnamon Twist is everything most people hope for when they're looking for a kitten.

She is incredibly friendly and loves attention. She enjoys being held, seeks out affection, and loves spending time with her people. When she's not getting cuddles, she's usually busy playing with other cats or chasing toys around the room.

💙 Still Looking for His Forever Home 💙
📍 Lexington, SC

Boomer (aka Bandana) is somehow STILL available, and honestly I'm a little shocked.

This sweet boy is approximately 1 year old, currently around 47 lbs (and still needs to gain some weight), and is expected to be around 55 lbs at a healthy weight. He's a Poodle mix with a non-shedding coat and has been an absolute pleasure to foster.

Since his original post, we've learned even more about him:
🐾 He LOVES other dogs and would happily spend hours playing with them.
🐾 He has started playing with toys and loves stuffed toys specifically
🐾 He has pretty decent off-leash recall.
🐾 His crate is clearly a safe place for him — at night he usually chooses either his bed beside me or his crate with the door standing wide open.
🐾 He does not get on furniture.
🐾 He walks beautifully on leash.
🐾 He is fantastic for grooming and nail trims.
🐾 He is gentle, friendly, and well-mannered with everyone he has met.

One of my favorite things about Boomer? His sleeping positions. 😂 I constantly find him upside down, legs in the air, completely passed out without a care in the world.

Boomer was originally pulled from Columbia Animal Services after being found as an injured stray. He arrived severely matted and needing medical care, but his wound is now healed and he's ready for a family of his own.

Boomer's coat requires regular maintenance. Dogs with this coat type need professional grooming every 4–6 weeks and daily brushing/combing to prevent painful matting. Please be prepared for the time and expense that comes with a non-shedding coat.

Now our little rescue has been featured by local news outlets AND The New York Times. Not bad for a bunch of shelter mutts who immediately chose chaos. 🐶🐾😂

A huge noise rattled part of the state on Thursday. Multiple theories have been put forward, but the mystery remains.

Chalupa and his siblings were dumped in a box outside Columbia Animal Services. They came to us riddled with parasites and severely underweight — nearly half the size they should have been for their age. Since then, we have worked hard getting them healthy, gaining weight, and catching up. They now weigh enough to begin flea/heartworm prevention and start finding forever homes.

💙 Personality:
Chalupa is probably the most cautious and sensitive of his siblings, and honestly, it just makes him extra endearing.
He is still very sweet, playful, and affectionate, but compared to the others he startles more easily around loud noises and unfamiliar people. He tends to take a little extra time to warm up and figure things out.
Some days he is all about cuddles: if you hold him and pet him long enough, he may drift right off to sleep on you 🥹💙
Other days? He would rather spend every waking second chasing toys and playing (typical little boy kitten 😂).
He LOVES his toys, loves chasing things, and has that fun, playful kitten energy while still having a softer, gentler personality.
And like all of his siblings, this crew absolutely LOVES people. They come running to greet you the second they see you, and their purr motors are HUGE and unbelievably loud for such tiny babies.
