Happy “BER” Months, Lexington!

September 1st feels like a fresh start, and we’re ready for the change that’s ahead! We’re looking forward to fall festivities, October fun, November thankfulness, and December’s celebration of Christ.

But while this season feels festive and exciting for many, we know it can be a difficult time for others. A time of needing more, dreading the days ahead, or wondering how they’ll provide for their families.

Mission Lexington is here for every season. We’re feeling blessed, hopeful, and ready to walk alongside our neighbors through whatever these next few months bring.

A Different Kind of Monday

Monday can bring dread, exhaustion, loneliness, or simply the feeling of, “Here we go again.”

But what if we looked at Monday differently?

Scripture reminds us: “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24

That doesn’t mean pretending everything is perfect. It means bringing our frustrations, uncertainty, and weariness to God and asking, “What are You trying to show me?”

Maybe we need a change in perspective.
Maybe we need to make a change.
Maybe we need more gratitude, patience, courage, or simply a reminder to take life one day at a time.

“His mercies are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22-23

Monday doesn’t have to be the day we return to everything weighing us down. It can be the day we begin again.

We may not be able to change everything about the week ahead, but with God’s guidance, we can change the way we enter it.

We officially broke ground on our new home! This new 35,000-square-foot facility on North Lake Drive is going to help us serve even more of our neighbors right here in Lexington County. More room for the food pantry, more space for our thrift store and social services, and more capacity to show God’s love to our community.

This is the next chapter of Mission on the Move, and it’s happening because of YOU! To our donors, volunteers, and partners who believed in this vision, thank you for helping us build something that will serve Lexington for generations to come.

Stay tuned … this is just the beginning.

Happy National DOG day!!!!

Summer may be winding down, but the struggle to feed a beloved pet doesn't.

Many of our clients sacrifice their own meals to make sure their furry family members eat.

That's why Mission Lexington keeps our pet pantry stocked; no one should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pet. So far this year, we've helped over 3,000 people feed their pets. 🐾
