Snake River Music Festival fans,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the Snake River Music Festival will no longer be held. After much reflection, we’ve had to face the reality that the costs of putting on the festival which is simply too high to continue, while remaining true to our mission, "helping veterans and veteran families in crisis."
Throughout the last couple festivals, despite our best efforts, we have not been able to effectively raise the necessary funds or reach the veterans we aim to support. We have made several different attempts to cut back on costs and increase revenue, but as the economy increases, so do our fees. This has been a difficult decision, but we feel it’s the right one to ensure we’re focusing our resources where they will have the greatest impact.
In the future, we are considering the possibility of hosting a smaller, free music event in one of our local parks, with the hope of continuing to raise awareness and funds for veterans in need. While this new event won’t match the scale of the festival, we’re excited about the potential for it to carry on the spirit of our original mission.
We want to extend our deepest thanks to the incredible volunteers who gave so much of their time and effort each year. Your dedication made the festival fun and running smoothly. To our sponsors, your generous support has meant the world to us, and has helped us touch the lives of many veterans. We hope to continue working with you through other events. To the many loyal attendees who came out each year, we appreciate you for making the festival such a wonderful experience. We have met so many amazing people in our valley and we hope to see you at other events we put on!
Though the Snake River Music Festival is coming to an end, our commitment to supporting veterans and their families remains unwavering. We look forward to seeing you at other events we host, with this important goal in mind.
