September is a month of MANY colors. 💛🩵💜🧡🩷

This month brings awareness to so many cancers that impact women we love — ovarian, vaginal, vulvar, uterine, cervical, leukemia & lymphoma, and thyroid cancer.

At Lili Cancer Foundation, we know firsthand that cancer comes in all colors.

Different ribbons.
Different diagnoses.
Different treatments.
Different stories.

But behind every color is a WOMAN.

A mom. A daughter. A sister. A wife. A grandma. A best friend. A coworker. A neighbor.

And behind her is a family whose world changed the moment they heard the word cancer.

So this September, we ask you to pause.

Pause for the women currently fighting.
For those anxiously waiting for answers.
For the survivors learning to live after cancer.
For the families walking beside someone they love.
And for the beautiful women we remember and carry with us every single day.

Learn the symptoms. Listen to your body. Make the appointment you’ve been putting off. Check on the woman going through treatment. Support organizations doing this work.

And most of all… remember the PERSON behind the ribbon.

Cancer comes in all colors.

And at Lili, no matter the color of her ribbon, we want her to know she doesn’t have to walk through it alone.

Seriously. Every single one of these businesses, families and friends said YES to supporting this year’s Lili Gala & Auction.

And I don’t think I will ever get over it.

Every year when I see all of our sponsors together like this, I get a little emotional. Because these aren’t just names and logos on a page. These are people in our community who believe in what we are doing. Who believe in our women. Who believe in our families. And who continue to show up for Lili year after year.

They help us keep the food pantry stocked. They help us put on Fight Nights. They help provide counseling, massage, yoga, physical therapy and SO much more. They help us love on husbands and caregivers and kids. They help us keep the doors open.

Most importantly… they help us keep saying YES.

Yes, we can help.
Yes, we can walk beside you.
Yes, you have a place here.
Yes, you are not doing this alone.

350.

During the month of August, we hit a HUGE milestone for our foundation.

350 women.

350 women who have trusted us enough to walk beside them during one of the darkest times of their lives… while they literally fight for their lives against cancer.

To say I’m overwhelmed is an understatement.

Overwhelmed with gratitude. With awe. With honor. And, if I’m being completely truthful, a little sadness too.

Because I really wish our number was zero.

Zero women affected by this terrible disease. Zero families having their lives turned upside down by cancer. Zero women needing what we do.

But that’s not our reality.

And because it isn’t, I am beyond thankful that we get to do what we get to do.

When we started Lili, we NEVER could have imagined this number. Not ever. Let alone in less than four years. I don’t think we could have even dreamed this big.

But here we are. 350 women.

And my friends… we need you more than ever.

As this number grows, so does the need. We need your support. We need your donations. We need your sponsorships. We need you to keep believing in what we are doing so that we can keep saying YES.

Yes, we can help. We can walk with you. We can help feed your family.
We can support your husband and your kids. We can help make this awful season just a tiny bit easier.

Yes, you have a place here.

Because that’s what I want more than anything… for Lili to keep being able to say YES.

To keep showing up in the darkness of cancer and bringing just a little bit of sunlight.

We are SO excited that Wrangler Bullroom chose us as the beneficiary of their TA-TA RIDE on Saturday, October 3! 🎀

Grab your bike, grab your friends, and come out for a seriously fun day — all while supporting the women and families served by the Lili Cancer Foundation!

🏍️ $15 per rider
🩷 $10 for riders wearing cancer awareness clothing
📍 Start & finish at the Wrangler parking lot
⏰ Sign-up from 10:00–11:30 AM

And the fun doesn’t stop with the ride! Stick around for a $10 pasta bar, silent auction, fun run, and more!

We absolutely LOVE when local businesses find fun, creative ways to rally around our warriors. Every dollar raised helps us continue providing wrap-around support to women facing cancer right here in our community.

💜 TONIGHT IS FIGHT NIGHT. 💜

You hear us talk about Fight Night all the time. We call it the “capstone” of what we do at Lili Cancer Foundation.

But… what does that actually mean?

Fight Night is where so many of the pieces of Lili come together in one room.

It’s a room filled with women who are newly diagnosed, women in the middle of treatment, women celebrating years of survivorship, and women learning how to live in a body and a life that cancer changed.

And for a few hours… they don’t have to explain.

They can walk through the door exactly as they are.

Maybe they need a massage.

Maybe they need to learn something that will help them care for their body.

Maybe they need a good meal.

Maybe they need to laugh until their cheeks hurt.

Maybe they need to cry with someone who understands.

Maybe they need prayer.

Or maybe they simply need to sit at a table surrounded by women who can look at them and say, “Me too.”

Fight Night brings together the heart of our seven pillars—mental health, nutrition, exercise, finances, physical therapy, spirituality and relaxation—but even more importantly, it brings people together.

Because cancer is incredibly isolating.

And we believe one of the most powerful things we can give a woman is the reminder that she does not have to fight alone.

Tonight, our building will be loud. There will be food and hugs and laughter. There will be conversations about scans and chemo and surgeries mixed right in with conversations about kids, husbands, vacations and everyday life.

There will be women checking on one another.

There will be our CARE Team watching closely for the woman who might need a little extra love.

There will be new friendships forming.

And there will be HOPE.

That is Fight Night.

It isn’t just an event on our calendar.

It’s the heartbeat of Lili.

It’s what happens when a community decides that when one of our women hears the words “you have cancer,” she will never have to walk what comes next alone. 💜

We fight together.

We are SO excited for our 1st Annual A Night of Music. A Mission of Hope. featuring The Senders THIS SATURDAY, August 22! 💜🩵

We’ve heard it over and over… “We need a concert like the old days in Pioneer Park!” And we decided this was the perfect opportunity to bring our community together for an incredible night of music, fun, and HOPE — all while raising awareness for the Lili Cancer Foundation.
