Our mission is to provide hope and a Christmas to less fortunate children in our area. We accomplish this by fund raising and toy donations. S.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity which was created at the behest of the U. Marine Corps in 1991. The basic mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. The primary goal of Marine Toys for Tots is, through the gift of a new toy, help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America's less fortunate children. We cover the following counties; Nez Perce, Latah, Clearwater, Lewis, and Idaho County. In Washington we cover; Asotin, Garfield, and Whitman. All toys and monies collected stay local, everyone involved with the program is a volunteer. 97 cents of every dollar collected goes towards toys, the other three cents goes towards supplies like collection boxes. Officer Jason Marketti Jr. of the Lewiston Police Department is facing an unimaginable tragedy. His wife, Sharyn, unexpectedly passed away while their newborn daughter remains in the NICU in Spokane.

Jason is now caring for their two sons while also facing the difficult reality of becoming the sole provider and caregiver for all three of his children.

Jason has always been someone who puts others first, helping anyone in need without asking for anything in return. Now, it’s our turn to support him and his family.

Thank you so much to all the volunteers that showed up to help make the Christmas Connection and Toys For Tots distribution a success!

It’s never easy or goes as planned, there’s always setbacks and things that go wrong, but we work through them and get the job done! Thank you to all the volunteers for your patience, support and understanding! Without you we couldn’t do what do!

Thank you also to our very special partners at St Vincent de Paul LC Valley for their support and hard work! Without you this wouldn’t be possible! We also would like to thank the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office for their support and the NPT Police. Thank you to Chief Bensen for your support and helping with Distribution!

If you were not able to get your boxes yesterday they will be at the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office available for pickup Monday and Tuesday from 8am to 5pm. Go to the Civil window and the ladies will be able to help you out.

At our Racing Around the Christmas Tree race on December 13th we are partnering up with the Toys for Tots. Their mission is to provide hope and Christmas to less fortunate children in our area. So if you could please help us out with either a monetary donation or a new unwrapped toy we would greatly appreciate it. You can drop this off the day of the race. If you can't make it to the race, but would like to donate, please contact the Lewiston Roundup Office. Thank you.
