Leicester Girls Softball Our goal is to build on our success and continue to have a strong local program that provides lessons both on and off the field.

We believe athletics will help to build a strong foundation for future achievements. Leicester Girls Softball is a community of family and friends joining together to honor our Girls. In today’s society, recreational programs are sadly becoming obsolete. We want our program to remind you of what it was like for us in these leagues as we were growing up. Being part of a Recreational League is an ho

nor and experience that parents and children can enjoy together. Our program is proud to highlight that ANYONE CAN BE AN ATHLETE. We can not guarantee that every child will become a superstar, but we can work together to create a path for those players who will move forward in our sport, but also for those players who just love to kick back and be on the field as part of a team. Our league vision is to empower girls of ALL playing abilities, while helping them learn how to play and how to tolerate. To teach them the value of commitment, sportsmanship and mutual respect for one another. Most importantly our program allows our children to simply enjoy a sport they love playing…..and you should love watching. Inside this fence, no matter how intense the competition gets, we should leave those feelings behind once we are on the other side. The greatest thing about our league, is together we get to watch these girls grow up together. With new teams every year, opponents from last year become teammates this year and vice versa. So as each year’s season begins, we must teach our girls, to remember that teammates and opponents are also neighbors and friends.

Leicester Girls Softball 10U closed out its season with a 7–3 victory over Auburn on Friday at Lemansky Park, finishing on a high note going 9-3 on the year. After the game was tied 2–2, Leicester erupted for five runs in the fourth inning, highlighted by a two-run double from Natalee S, who finished 2-for-2 with three RBIs. The team showed patience at the plate with nine walks and stole 13 bases.

Hattie N started in the circle and recorded three strikeouts giving her 200 career strikeouts at the 10U level, a fitting milestone to reach in the final game of the season. Friday also marked the final 10U game for Ava C., Josie, Natalee, Livvie, Alexa, and Savanah. After helping lead Leicester to a strong finish, they now set their sights on the move to 12U this fall.

The 8U girls finished the season with a 12-3 victory over Oxford! The defense was outstanding, making play after play in the field!

These girls have worked so hard all season, and it showed every time they stepped on the field. They finished the regular season undefeated with a perfect 10-0 record! 🎉

We are so proud of this team, their growth, their hustle, and the way they always supported one another. Way to go, girls!

Leicester 12u closed out their spring season with a 9-9 tie versus Brookfield last night. Despite being down 4-6 in the forth, they delivered a 5-run inning including a double from Isla that drove in 2 runs. Leah and Layla continued their strong performances at the circle, only giving up 5 hits and striking out 8. Leicester continued showing patience at the plate with a combined 9 walks.

The team showed great improvement from the fall season and we wish our players a great summer!
