2025 Worcester County 4-H Fairbook Cover Contest

We need a cover for our 75th Worcester County 4-H Fair book and are turning to our Worcester County youth to help us!
The winner of the Cover Contest will be recognized in the 2025 Fairbook and at opening ceremonies. They will also receive a check for $25 at the Fair’s opening ceremonies.

This year’s Fair theme is: Diamond Jubilee
Entries must include the following:
Fair Theme (Diamond Jubilee)
The official 4-H clover (as shown below)
75th Annual Worcester County 4-H Fair Spencer Fairgrounds, 48 Smithville Rd, Spencer, MA 01562
July 25-27 th 2025

** Note: the official 4-H clover logo is protected by copyright and can be used by 4-H members on 4-H items. However, the clover CANNOT have other items superimposed over it or be done in
colors that do not represent the clover**
Entries must fit on a standard 8.5”x11” sheet of paper and be done on white paper or cardstock.
*Entries must be the work of the 4-H youth.
*This contest is open to all 4-H youth of Worcester County
*Entries may be done in any medium.
*Make sure to include youth’s name and contact information with your entry (not on the cover itself)
*The Fair Committee reserves the right to make minor changes to the winning design for legibility and printing requirements.

Entry deadline is Saturday, March 29th
Entries must be received by this date or they will not be considered

Happy 101st birthday to Harvey Ball! A Worcester native, Ball created the iconic smiley face. Today, thank everyone who helps put a smile on your face and pass it along by doing one small act of kindness to brighten up someone else’s day.

EXPLORE UMASS UPDATE: Attention Teens
Due to low registration this is NOW a one-day event and enrollment is open for another 20 4-H'ers from MA and neighboring states. Explore UMass is an in-person conference being held on Monday, June 27 from 10AM – 4PM at the UMass Amherst campus. Respond ASAP.

Participants must be fully enrolled 4-H members who are at least 12 years old or attending grades 7-11 for the 2022-2023 school year.
Participants can choose from two workshop tracks.

Tracks for this year’s conference are:
Food Science
Veterinary Science/Farming

Each track has limited capacity (Food Science – 13 participants, Vet Science /Farming– 27 participants).

Cost: Plan A - $25 (Lunch and track)

Plan B - $50 (Tour and dinner along with parent dinner ticket)

Looking for a community service project check this out. Can’t make this event Kim Pond will accept donation to the food pantry or baby pantry at the office and deliver.

Project New Hope Inc. Sully’s Veterans Food Pantry is hosting a Food Drive on Thursday, November 11th, 2021 at Price Chopper, 50 Cambridge Street, Worcester, MA. from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Please drop off your nonperishable items, Gift Cards and monetary donations to our Van that will be parked out front with our Volunteers. Thank you in advance for your generosity. I'm sure our Veterans and their families who receive these donations will be extremely grateful.
