Our very own Jessica Jones!

🌟 Introducing our Community Advocate Award recipient — Jessica Jones!

Lehighton native Jessica saw a need in her community and did something about it. In January 2024, she helped launch the Lehighton Cold Weather Station alongside Esther Meier and Nancy Berchtold, providing individuals experiencing homelessness with a safe, warm place to sleep during periods of extreme cold. She also serves as Treasurer of the Ss Peter & Paul SVDP, bringing that same passion for helping the most vulnerable to everything she does. Jessica continues to call Lehighton home, where she lives with her daughter, Lily.

We are so honored to celebrate Jessica at our 10-Year Anniversary Celebration on May 29th!

Our 2025-2026 shelter season officially ended on April 30th. We were open 78 nights and served 53 unique individuals.

We are incredibly grateful to Joe and Debra Kay Bennett for the use of their beautiful and spacious property.

We were able to remain open 78 nights due to our dedicated volunteers, some volunteering multiple nights/shifts per week to keep the doors open. We could not do this without you! - THANK YOU!

To the community that offered support with clothing, food, and monetary donations - THANK YOU!

A HUGE thank you to Trinity (Friday) and Zion (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) for stepping in and generously opening their social halls to keep people safe and warm during the daytime hours. 💙

If you know anyone who needs a warm place during the day, please spread the word.
Lunch and drinks are provided.

Hours at Zion:
• Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Additionally, Peaceful Knights has their doors open 24 hours for men during the Cold Blue temperatures.
