🔓 What does it really take to successfully return to the community after incarceration?

The Lebanon County Reentry Simulation offers participants an opportunity to experience some of the real-world barriers individuals may face as they work to rebuild their lives after involvement with the justice system.

Through this interactive experience, participants will navigate challenges related to employment, transportation, treatment, housing, finances, supervision requirements, family responsibilities, and accessing community resources.

The goal? To build understanding, reduce stigma, and strengthen the systems of support that make successful reentry possible.

This afternoon, the Lebanon Recovery Center and the Lebanon County Stronger Together He**in Task Force are bringing our community together for a Recovery Day event as we recognize the strength of people in recovery and remind everyone that help, support, and a new chapter are always possible.

We’re coming together to celebrate hope, healing, recovery, and community during National Recovery Month.

Sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply show up—for ourselves, for someone we love, and for our community.

Join us for the ‘You Matter’ Su***de Prevention Walk on Saturday, September 26 at Lions Lake Park. This free event brings our community together to remember those we’ve lost, honor the people who are still here, and remind one another that no one has to walk through difficult times alone.

🌿 Before the walk, we’ll rededicate the Remembrance Garden in honor of its 10th anniversary and permanent relocation to Lions Lake.

💜 Recovery is a journey and no one has to walk it alone.

During Recovery Month, we’re reminded that every person can play a part in creating a community where recovery is supported, encouraged, and celebrated.

Sometimes that means offering a listening ear. Sometimes it’s providing a ride, sharing a resource, checking in, attending a meeting, or simply reminding someone that they matter. Small acts of support can make a meaningful difference.

At the Lebanon Recovery Center, we believe recovery grows stronger through connection, compassion, and community. Whether you are in recovery, supporting someone you love, or simply want to be part of a recovery-friendly community...there is a place for you here.

💜 Time to remember. Time to act.

Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember the lives lost to overdose, stand with the families and friends who carry that loss, and honor every person working toward recovery.

At the Lebanon Recovery Center, we also recognize that remembrance must be paired with action. That means reducing stigma, talking openly about substance use, connecting people with support, carrying naloxone, and reminding our community that recovery is possible and help is available. 💜

Tomorrow, Team Sharing-PA will commemorate the 25th Anniversary of International Overdose Awareness Day with a Ceremony of Remembrance at the Pennsylvania State Capitol Complex in Harrisburg.

For the Lebanon Recovery Center, this day carries an important message: every life matters, every loss deserves to be remembered, and every person seeking recovery deserves connection, dignity, and hope.

The event will include a memorial display, resource village, speakers, overdose prevention education, Narcan distribution, a dove release, and a closing butterfly release.
