“I volunteer at True Life because…” 🤍
Sometimes we think God is calling us to do something big before we realize He’s simply asking us to take the next step.
For Kate, one of our volunteers, that step started in 2021. She was looking for a way to use her time for something that mattered, and God brought True Life to mind. What started as a decision to serve has turned into years of relationships, memories, lessons, and a deeper understanding of what it means to love the people God has placed around us.
One things she’s learned along the way is that “God is the one who does the great work and my job is just to take a step where I am and trust Him to lead me from there.”
And maybe one of the most beautiful parts of serving is realizing that you don’t just come to True Life to teach, but to also learn.
Our volunteers are reminded that every student has value, every story matters, and circumstances never change how deeply God loves someone.
And sometimes… you even find a community for yourself along the way.
