The Jonesboro Mock Trial team competed this past weekend at the state Georgia High School Mock Trial competition. While they were not named as finalists, their performances were outstanding! Kudos to Aidan Brooks, Judah Whaley, and Jaylyn Olujobi for being named outstanding attorney or witness. Thank you to the team’s seniors for their hard work over the past few seasons including Aidan Brooks, Chris Campbell, Axel Sanchez, and Judah Whaley. Your dedication to has been fantastic!! The team will be back with the Empire season.

Shout out to our Red, Silver, and Cardinal teams for competing at Regionals!

Team Red placed first at regional competition, progressing to District and continuing a decades-long streak of excellence. Congratulations to Judah Whaley and Hillary Keo for their individual awards!

Team Silver also showed up and showed out in Jonesboro! Team members Joi Googer and Destiny Jones took home individual awards.

Team Cardinal competed in Decatur, one of the toughest regions in the state, and had a strong showing. Team members Sydney Washington, Jesus Polina-Torres, and Jaiden Geiger-Smith secured individual awards as well.

The team is reaching out to our partners local and global! We have been accepted to the Empire Mock Trial Constitutional Classics September 25-29. Unfortunately, at this time, we have been unable to raise the necessary funds for transportation and lodging. We are looking for law firms to help with sponsorships of our students traveling to maintain our reputation as one of the top tier Mock Trial teams in the country. As we close the 2024 - 2025 season, we want thank everyone who supported us this year through coming to watch a practice, guest judge, or evaluate. And a special thank you to everyone who donated to help us attend competition. Thank you to our coaches who have spent countless hours at practice.
