It was an eventful day at the 2026 Sweetwater Fishing Derby held at Twin Bridges lake.

Good morning - Scout leaders!

We are very excited for our fishing derby happening at Twin Bridges Lake in Lawrenceville!! Below is information that you need to know about for this event! Walk ups are welcome and encouraged at Fishing Derby today!

Our event will start at 1:30 pm at Twin Bridges Lake, 1119 Braselton Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30043. Please come to sign in when you arrive at our canopy tent! We will be the people in the Scout Uniforms. If anyone still wants to come to the event, they can sign up as a walk-up at the canopy and register, so please tell your scout families! Even kids not in scouts (yet) can come participate in the fun and see the cool stuff we do in scouts.

We do have to register everyone who participates at the event though, so please make sure they do come register and pay. We can take cash, card, or apple pay - $25 for youth, $12 for adults.

Last year we caught over 25 fish as a group at the event!

Registration covers entry into the Pond area to fish, some worm bait for fishing with, the prizes, and other materials needed to run the event itself! Fishing poles are not included, but the pond will rent them to you for $10 according to their website.

We will have so much fun and prizes for the Scouts with the largest catches!! Let me know if you have any questions.

Yesterday was the Sweetwater District Championship Pinewood Derby at the Loganville American Legion. We had 90 cub scouts participating - 20 for Show/Design and 70 for Speed. 36 cubs qualified to advance to the NEGA Council Pinewood Derby at Scout Show on May 2nd.
