Karla Mitchell Vincent passed away suddenly at the far-too-young age of 51 following a massive stroke. Her unexpected passing leaves an emptiness in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Above all, Karla was a loving mother to her two daughters and her son, whom she loved dearly and carried in her heart always. Some of her most treasured moments were the simple ones spent with her children, including curling up together to watch movies, laugh, and enjoy one another’s company. Family meant so much to her, and she loved with her whole heart. She cared deeply for those closest to her and treasured the memories they shared together.
Throughout her life, Karla faced many personal battles, including struggles with her mental health. Those challenges were only one part of her story. Karla was creative, compassionate, and had many things that brought her joy. She loved painting and crocheting, listening to music, discovering vintage clothing, and trying out new makeup. She had a unique sense of style and enjoyed expressing herself in her own special way.
Karla also had a tender heart for animals and loved spending time with her beloved pets, her rabbit Mui Mui and her cat Olive. They brought her comfort, companionship, and happiness.
Her caring nature extended beyond her own family and home. Karla had a heart for people who were struggling and would give to the homeless when she could. She cared deeply about others and showed that compassion in ways both big and small.
Karla especially loved reminiscing about her childhood. She enjoyed remembering funny stories, special holidays, family traditions, and the moments from years gone by that continued to bring her happiness. Those memories were precious to her and kept her connected to the people and times she loved most.
Even in her passing, Karla continued to give to others. She chose to be an organ donor, giving the incredible gift of life and hope to others. Through the lives she has helped save and change, a part of Karla will continue on, creating a beautiful and lasting legacy of generosity and compassion.
Karla will be remembered for her loving heart, her creativity, her compassion for others, her devotion to her children and family, and the many special memories she leaves behind. Though her life ended much too soon, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will remain forever.
She will be deeply loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Donna Jo Davenport Mitchell; her maternal grandfather, Arnold Davenport; and her paternal grandparents, Doug and Mildred Mitchell.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Vincent of Kingston Springs, TN; three children, Ellis Thuresson of Franklin, TN, Kasper Thuresson of Franklin, TN and Elliette Vincent of Kingston Springs, TN; maternal grandmother; Norma Jean Davenport of Summertown, TN; special cousin, Angela Davenport (Richard) of Summertown, TN; one uncle, Timothy Davenport of Summertown, TN; two aunts, Shellia Flippo of Summertown, TN and Debbie O'Neal of Mount Pleasant, TN; and several other cousins.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, September 4, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
