Kirans World
Where do we fit in kiran's world?
When we watch him at play
What thoughts linger in his mind?
As he goes about his day
Often the things he may do
We're not smart enough to understand
What does Kiran see with those little boy eyes?
Yet hes a great part of God's eye
What does he think in the early morning?
As his world awakes from the night
Does he recall his yesterday
When the dark is chased by the light
We see kiran as he entertaines himself
Perhaps with his favorite car
And often keeps much to himself
Quite away from where we are.
But what would we really see
If our minds were all unfurled
And if we struggled but for a single moment
Just to live in kirans world

Many of you don't know him so we are going to introduce the sweet little boy who has started this all. This is Kiran he is 4. Two years ago he was diagnosed with autism. Of course this changed our world so much. Like most we didnt really know what that meant but it sounded a little scary at the time and to be honest some days it still is. Autism is such a broad diagnosis( all the kids are completely different). Kiran is this sweet little boy who loves so much ( in his words to the moon back forever ever). Kirans speech is not where it is supposed to be but thats okay. He is behind in somethings but he just has trouble communicating what he knows. Sometimes i wonder how hard it must be but when I look at that beautiful boy hes happy, hes smiling, he is dancing like nobody is watching. Unfortunately most will not try to get to know this sweetheart they only see the melt downs (which they assume is a tantrum because he is a brat) they see someone who isnt smart cause he has trouble speaking. They see a brat because he doesn't understand social standards. That's what kirans world is about giving these beautiful babies a voice. We would love for you to share your babies stories!! Also share our posts hope to see everyone at the walk on May 23rd.
P.s. dont forget your shirts we are trying to raise money to hold classes for all emergency personnel to teach them how to work with autistic children when needed.

1st annual walk for autism awareness is scheduled for May 23rd at rotary park from 10-2pm. We will have free food, games, and lots of fun for you and your family.
