History!

✊🏾🇺🇸 FIVE YEARS AGO TODAY: JUNETEENTH BECAME A FEDERAL HOLIDAY

Five years ago, history was made when Juneteenth was officially recognized as a federal holiday, honoring the day enslaved African Americans in Texas finally learned of their freedom on June 19, 1865.

The signing marked a long-overdue national acknowledgment of a pivotal chapter in American history and a celebration of freedom, resilience, and progress.

As we commemorate this milestone, we remember those who fought for liberty and continue striving toward a more perfect union.
