Carolina Walters doesn’t remember feeling busy while she was a student at Saint Vincent College — playing tennis and lacrosse, working and volunteering while pulling down straight A’s.

Walters, 22, of Latrobe, grew up meeting multiple deadlines on days bookended by classes, sports practices and volunteer work.

She also found time to birdwatch and serve as the captain of the college’s World Series of Birding team that competed in the national 24-hour birding marathon to find the most species in spring at Cape May, N.J.

“Looking back, it was amazing,” she said.

It was a great day at the Dunlap Family Athletic and Recreation Center as members of our athletics leadership and administration welcomed members of the Board of Directors to campus. We were proud to showcase our brand new facility and thank everyone who made it possible!

🎨Calling all Alumni Artists!

The Verostko Center for the Arts invites submissions for the 2026 Saint Vincent College Alumni Fine Art Exhibition, on view August 29 – December 4, 2026.

Eligible artists include all Saint Vincent College alumni and anyone who completed at least one undergraduate course at SVC. Artists may submit up to five original works in a variety of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, mixed media, fiber arts, stained glass, mosaics, printmaking, and more. AI-generated work, reproductions, video, and new media are not eligible.

Submission deadline: Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

Submission is free for graduates from the Classes of 2022–2026. All other applicants: $20 for up to five entries.

Selected artists will be notified by August 5, 2026.

The exhibition opening reception will be held Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 p.m.

This year’s exhibition will be juried by Alison Brand Oehler, Co-Director of Concept Art Gallery in Pittsburgh.

⛳☀️What a fantastic day we had on Friday at our Bearcat Alumni and Friends Golf Outing! With sun-filled skies and beautiful mountain views, we gathered at Ligonier Country Club for a day marked by great company and plenty of memorable shots (some better than others, but all in good spirit). Beyond the competition and camaraderie, the heart of the day was rooted in our Catholic faith. It was uplifting to see that spirit reflected in every handshake and conversation along the way. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the outing such a success. Days like this remind us how special our Saint Vincent College community truly is. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Great to see Saint Vincent College President Father Paul Taylor, OSB, and Saint Vincent Seminary Rector Father Ed Mazich, OSB, bringing a touch of Saint Vincent and Latrobe to Pope Leo XIV! They say Pope Leo is a Bears fan, but he sure seems happy with that Terrible Towel... 😄
