📣 Shouting out to senior varsity cheerleader Malorie on being selected for the IRMC High School Summer Externship Program!

We are so proud of Malorie for representing Greater Latrobe Cheer both on and off the sidelines through her hard work and dedication. 🧡🖤

Today, we welcomed our high school summer externs as they began their two-week externship experience. Designed for students with aspirations of becoming physicians, the program offers a firsthand look at the many facets of medicine through shadowing opportunities across a variety of specialties and care settings.

Pictured with the externs are Steve Wolfe, President and CEO; Braden Staats, Summer Program Coordinator; and Dr. Dan Clark, Director of the Summer Internship and Externship Program and Director of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery. We’re proud to help inspire and support the next generation of physicians as they explore careers dedicated to caring for others!

On Friday, May 22nd, Greater Latrobe Junior High School WEB Coordinators Miss Kalp and Miss Dupilka hosted an End of the Year Celebration for the current 8th grade WEB Leaders. At their celebration, WEB Leaders were rewarded for all of their hard work this school year by enjoying a sweet treat from Kona Ice, pizza, a game of kickball, and a movie in the library. The WEB Program (Where Everybody Belongs) is a transition and mentorship program designed to help incoming 7th-grade students confidently navigate their first year of junior high school. We want to congratulate all of the current 8th grade WEB Leaders on a job well done!

🎓🧡Senior Spotlight 🖤🎓

After cheering for 14 years, Cadence is hanging up her uniform and picking up a tool belt.

Last Tuesday, May 19th, Cadence attended her EWCTC graduation where she graduated with an advanced certificate of completion and was chosen as the student of the year for construction trades.

Cadence will be continuing with her construction career right after graduation. She accepted a position in February with Primo Rentals where she has been working under EWCTC‘s co-op program. Next week they will be starting a new project updating a recently purchased house. Cadence has been tasked with overseeing this project.

She is well on her way towards learning the ropes to fulfill her dream of owning her own construction company someday. Congratulations, Cadence 📣
