CARE Coalition is a nonprofit organization committed to alcohol & substance abuse prevention and behavioral mental health education in southern Nevada

The CARE Coalition is a nonprofit organization committed to substance abuse prevention in Clark County. We encourage CONNECTEDNESS of people in our community by uniting those with an interest in substance abuse prevention to local agencies, resources, and services that will help youth, families, and communities to flourish. We strive to generate AWARENESS about substance use and how prevention can impact those never exposed, those at risk, and those who are recovering from substance abuse. We offer RESOURCES for opportunities, direct services, and information that will help provide EDUCATION to our community. We CARE to make a difference in Clark County.

We have been busy! Here are some photos from the following 3 events that we recently attended: Drug Prevention Day, Mesquite Health Fair, and Henderson Pill Takeback. We are thankful for these opportunities to work in alongside some amazing people/organizations in our Southern Nevada communities. 🌟

On Saturday, September 26th, we will be co-hosting a pill take back site alongside Henderson PD, CCSD PD, and Roseman University's D.A.A.T. Program. This event is available for you to drop off your unused or expired pills. This is a safe way to dispose of pills in a way that is hassle free for you! WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING prescription pills in original containers or pet medications. WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING any needles, aerosols, or liquid medications.

The event will take place from 10am-2pm, and will be at the following location collecting pills from the community:

Basic High School
400 Palo Verde Dr, Henderson, NV 89015

This year’s ELAW event was truly special! It was inspiring to see our community come together for meaningful conversations about important topics. We introduced several new ideas to the event, including our constellation of change theme and the introduction of our "STAR OF THE YEAR" award, which we found to be a highlight of this year's event according to the thoughtful and incredibly valuable feedback from attendees. As always, we remain committed to making each ELAW event stronger and more impactful than the last.

Witnessing the continued growth of this event is deeply encouraging, and we are grateful to our partners across Southern Nevada for your ongoing support as we move forward together.

Today, we remember those we’ve lost, support those affected, and spread awareness that overdose is preventable.

Our Outreach Team recently had the opportunity to attend the Annual Substance Misuse and Overdose Prevention Summit. This event is always a wealth of up to date information that is used in our day to day prevention efforts. We always look forward to this event as it helps us bring valuable education opportunities to our community.

It's time to RSVP for ELAW 2026!

The theme this year is "Constellations of Change"

Individual stars shine bright, but a constellation of stars shine brighter together!

This annual event is dedicated to addressing issues affecting women of childbearing age, including opioid and other substance use during pregnancy across diverse populations and backgrounds.
