Las Vegas Elks Lodge #1468 Supports Paralyzed Veterans of America

With compassion and a shared commitment to serving veterans, 10 members of Las Vegas Elks Lodge #1468 came together to pack 150 bags for the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA). Their willingness to give their time and work together reflects the caring spirit of Elkdom and the Lodge’s ongoing support for those who have served our country.

The completed bags will go directly to PVA, where they can help support paralyzed veterans. This thoughtful effort shows how a group of volunteers, working together, can make a meaningful contribution. We are grateful to the Elks who helped make this project possible and proud to continue honoring veterans through service. Elks Care — Elks Share!

On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, five members of Las Vegas Elks Lodge #1468 visited the Veterans Hospital to express their gratitude and appreciation for those who have bravely served our country. During their visit, the Elks distributed 15 Patriot Store gift cards, five handmade kit bags, one handmade quilt, six handmade key fobs, and nine pairs of Bombas socks.

Each gift was a small token of appreciation and a heartfelt reminder that our veterans are never forgotten. Through their continued generosity and dedication, Las Vegas Elks Lodge #1468 proudly upholds its commitment to serving those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. Elks State Chaplain Mark Hilton and Elks of Las Vegas Lodge #1468 enjoyed spending time with the Trail of Life boys as they prepared for their Flag Day celebration. Thirty-seven children and their parents attended, bringing total attendance to 78. The boys learned about the various flags of the United States, including their history and significance. Chaplain Hilton also explained how our national flag has changed over time and what its stars, stripes, and colors represent, helping the boys gain a deeper appreciation for our country’s history and traditions.

The experience was both meaningful and educational. The Elks were proud to emphasize the importance of respecting our flag and the freedoms it represents while encouraging the boys to carry this knowledge and patriotism with them. It was a wonderful way to celebrate Flag Day and continue the Elks’ tradition of honoring and teaching our nation’s history.

Las Vegas Elks Lodge #1468 Serves Veterans and the Community

Friday October 2, 2026 Las Vegas Elks Lodge #1468 donated $500 to the Blind Veterans Association and joined blind veterans for a putting event held on three greens at Aliante Golf Course. Approximately 100 people attended, enjoying a day filled with friendship, encouragement, and good-natured competition.

Through meaningful programs, charitable contributions, and hands-on involvement, Las Vegas Elks Lodge #1468 remains committed to supporting veterans and serving the community. By standing beside those who have served our country and helping neighbors in need, the Lodge continues the Elks’ proud tradition of service and looks forward to making a positive difference for years to come.

Honor Flight Southern Nevada
Mission 26 gave Mark the opportunity to visit Washington, D.C., and see the memorials honoring the men and women who have served our country. The program offers veterans a meaningful and memorable experience while providing the community with an opportunity to recognize their service and sacrifice. Through this mission, Mark was honored for his service and reminded that his contributions to our nation will never be forgotten.

Las Vegas Elks Lodge #1468 is proud to support Honor Flight Southern Nevada and its mission to honor veterans. Jack Eslinger accompanied Mark as his guardian, offering friendship, assistance, and encouragement throughout the journey. His support helped make Mark’s experience possible and reflected the Elks’ longstanding commitment to serving veterans. Together, Lodge #1468 and Jack demonstrated their dedication to recognizing Mark’s service, honoring his sacrifice, and ensuring that he received the appreciation he so richly deserves.

On October 1, 2026, Las Vegas Elks Lodge #1468 was pleased to welcome four new members. Their decision to join the Elks family brings new energy and enthusiasm while strengthening the lodge’s tradition of fellowship and community service. We look forward to their participation in Lodge #1468’s many activities and charitable efforts. A huge thank you goes out to Jack Eslinger for his tasty tacos.

The evening also included the transfer of one member from Glendale, California, marking another step in that member’s Elks journey. Together, these additions serve as a reminder of the lodge’s continued growth and the importance of keeping the spirit of Elkdom alive through fellowship, service, and dedication to others.

Las Vegas Emblem Club President Dr. Marcia presented a $2,000 check to Saint Jude’s Ranch for Children, helping provide vital support and opportunities for children in need. The donation reflects the club’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the local community and making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
