Our Best Buddies Nevada members had a great time participating in the ELS for Autism Golf Clinic at TPC Summerlin! From learning new golf skills to practicing their swings and putting, it was a fun morning filled with encouragement, connection, and inclusion. 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

A special thank you to the UNLV Golf coaches for spending the morning with our members, sharing golf tips, and making the experience so welcoming and fun.

The Champion of the Year Gala is happening Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Caesars Palace – Palace Ballroom, and we need an amazing team of volunteers to help make the evening a success! ✨

Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the day and evening, including event and auction set-up, registration, live auction bid spotting, auction checkout, and tear down.

🕗 Volunteer Shifts:
• 8:00 AM–1:00 PM – Auction Set-Up
• 4:00–7:00 PM – Registration
• 5:00–10:30 PM – Event Volunteers + Auction Checkout
• 10:00–11:00 PM – Tear Down + Load Truck

🍦💜 Palo Verde Best Buddies kicked off the year with a sweet start!

Palo Verde High School Best Buddies hosted an Ice Cream Social & Interest Party for students and parents - such a fun way to welcome new members, learn more about Best Buddies, and build excitement for the year ahead!

A huge thank you to our Best Buddies Nevada State Ambassadors, Nick Touma and Jody Yap, for sharing their personal stories and the impact Best Buddies has had on their lives. Their voices are such an important part of showing what friendship, inclusion, and belonging can look like. 💜

We’re also excited to celebrate Jennifer Ramirez, who recently became a Best Buddies Nevada Ambassador! 🎉 Jennifer completed our Ambassador Academy in May, and we can’t wait to see her continue to grow as a leader and advocate for inclusion. 😍

Palo Verde has a history of creating meaningful friendships and student leadership through Best Buddies, and we’re excited to see what this chapter accomplishes this year!

Stephanie love Best Buddies because it not only unites communities - it unites countries. If the mission was applied everywhere, we could literally change the world. 💜

Stephanie is the Founder and CEO of Journey Forward Autism Center, a past Champion Candidate, and a longtime supporter of Best Buddies. She previously served as a four-time Best Buddies Chapter Advisor at Palo Verde High School, where the chapter earned Outstanding High School Chapter in Nevada for the past three years and was named Best Buddies Outstanding High School Chapter worldwide in 2024.

Stephanie’s Mission Partner, Jennifer Ramirez, is also a former student of hers and has built her own strong connection to Best Buddies. Jenny is a Best Buddies member at Palo Verde High School, a recent graduate of the Best Buddies Ambassador Academy, and has attended the Best Buddies Leadership Conference twice. 💜✨

For Michele, Best Buddies is about the friendships and connections that bring people together. A longtime supporter of our Champion of the Year Gala, she has seen the impact of our mission firsthand and is proud to help raise awareness for inclusion. 💜

Michele’s Mission Partner, Gabi Herd, has a long connection to Best Buddies. Gabi first joined Best Buddies at Palo Verde High School and now participates in our adult friendship program, recently graduated from the Best Buddies Ambassador Academy, and attended the Best Buddies Leadership Conference at Indiana University with her mom, Camille, who serves on the Best Buddies Nevada Advisory Board. Gabi’s boyfriend, Grant, is also involved with Best Buddies, making the mission an important part of their lives and community. 💜✨

For Tammy, Best Buddies is about seeing firsthand the difference friendship, inclusion, and opportunity can make in her daughter Allison’s life. 💜

“I support Best Buddies because I have witnessed firsthand the incredible impact this organization has had on my daughter, Allison.” Over the years, Tammy has watched Allison build lasting friendships, grow in confidence, find her voice, and step into leadership opportunities through Best Buddies. This year alone, Allison was matched in a One-to-One Friendship with Kerry Moya, graduated from the Ambassador Academy, attended the Best Buddies Leadership Conference, became a Local Ambassador, and is now serving as Tammy’s Mission Partner for Champion of the Year.
