As we close out this summer season, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you and best wishes to the amazing externs and Next Gen students, Andrew Shulman, Trevor Goldsmith, and Kinicia Bruce, who have worked alongside us here at the Senior Law Program.

Their dedication, energy, and passion for justice have made a real difference in the lives of the seniors we serve. We are so proud of all that they have accomplished, and we know they will go on to do great things in the legal profession.

They will always be part of the SLP family, and we can't wait to see where their journey takes them next! 🎉

Our Pro Bono Team joined the State Bar of Nevada's Paralegal Division Mixer and had a wonderful time. Min, SLP's Pro Bono Coordinator, even won the raffle at the end!

Great reminder that access to justice is a team effort! Connecting with the talented paralegals and legal professionals who keep our system running smoothly is always time well spent.

Thank you to the Paralegal Division for hosting such a well-organized and welcoming event. We're already looking forward to the next one! 🎉

Spread the word: four Senior Expos are coming to Las Vegas this month to help seniors 62+ get up to $300 off past-due utility bills.

United Way of Southern Nevada's Project REACH Senior Expos (powered by NV Energy) are back, and eligible adults 62+ can apply for up to $300 in assistance toward electricity, gas, water, trash, propane, sewer, and more.

Senior Law Program will be there in person to share legal resources for our older Nevadans too, so come find our table and let's connect.

🎆 This Fourth of July, we celebrate a monumental milestone: 250 years of American independence. 🎆

As we reflect on the vision, courage, and sacrifice that shaped this nation, we also pause to honor the generations of older Americans who have carried that legacy forward. They built our communities, served our country, raised families, and contributed to the fabric of our democracy.

🎓 Huge congratulations to our very own Supervising Attorney, Chelsea Crowton!

We are so proud to share that Chelsea has graduated from the OneJustice Executive Fellowship program!

This ten-month intensive program brought together 45 legal aid leaders from across the country to become stronger leaders for their organizations. Over the past year, Chelsea developed and presented a powerful capstone project and we can't wait to see the impact as she applies what she has learned right here at Senior Law Program!

We are so proud of this achievement that the whole SLP came out to celebrate! Please join us in congratulating Chelsea on this outstanding achievement! 👏🎉

Another successful Section Pro Bono Challenge this year. Thank you to the State Bar of Nevada for always leading the charge. 👏👏👏

And the numbers say it all:
- 1,661 total points generated
- 198 cases taken
- 528 Ask-A-Lawyer events scheduled
- $5,500 in donations raised (100% to legal aid organizations)

Thank you to everyone who contributed time, expertise, events, and enthusiasm to make the 2026 Section Pro Bono Challenge a success. At Senior Law Program, we see every day how the dedication of Nevada’s legal community to do pro bono work makes the lives of our most vulnerable older Nevadans better. 🩵🩵🩵

The 2026 Section Pro Bono Challenge wrapped up with an incredible 1,661 points earned, 198 cases taken, 528 Ask-A-Lawyer sessions scheduled, and $5,500 raised for legal aid — a remarkable showing from Nevada's legal community.
