We had a busy week on campus this past week! 🎉❤️

Thank you NMSU and Office of Health Promotion for having us out at your No More Silence: A Campus Conversation About Sexual Assault and Violence. Our Executive Director, Angelica Calderon, was able to speak on the services La Piñon and our Campus Advocate provides for campus life not only at NMSU but DACC campuses. Angelica was also able to speak on the importance of consent and how we all play a role in preventing violence in our community and on campus.

We are also proud of so many young men from Alpha Tau Omega and other groups for supporting our mission and supporting survivors in our community. Thank you to for showing so much support to La Piñon and survivors by also fundraising items, and learning, and sharing with campus life about these issues and how we all play a role during your philanthropy week! Keep being awesome!

We would like to give a HUGE shout-out to one of our very own Local Community Champions, Tristan Nabours, from Karma Salon & Boutique LLC who is also a local artist for showing how It Starts With Us to end sexual violence in our community during her community art show Strawberry
Heart Art Party! This event bringing community together to share in joy and also raising funds for survivors in our community. Thank you to everyone who joined and put items into the silent auction! 🎉💙
