Greta Burger of Cathouse Glass has been busy “planting” flower gardens that require no watering and bloom all year. Several of these will be transplanted to the Chiricahua Gallery in Rodeo, NM this weekend.

Greta Burger, Cathouse Glass, has been working to complete this large bird made of scrap metal and fused glass. It is finally complete and if you look closely you can identify parts from a bicycle rack, a vise, hedge trimmers, spatulas, knives, serving spoons, saw blades and landscape nails. The fused glass “faces” differ on each side and the captured lizard also has fused glass accents. This is a fun piece for any yard!

We are deeply grateful to Donna for wearing so many beautiful hats for this year’s Art in the Garden — Event Chair, Home Host, Sponsor, and Featured Artist. Her generosity, creativity, and love for the arts have helped bring this experience to life in such a meaningful way. 🌿🎨

Donna’s artistic journey began in New York City, where her lifelong love for art first blossomed. Over the years, she has explored many creative paths — from art teacher, to fine art gallery manager, to facilitating therapeutic art activities in skilled nursing facilities. Through every chapter, one thing has remained constant: her passion for creating and sharing art.

Since moving to New Mexico less than five years ago, Donna has found endless inspiration in the beauty and diversity of the landscapes around her. Her paintings reflect the quiet magic of nature, the changing seasons, and the hidden treasures that reward those who pause long enough to truly observe.
