FREE TUESDAY NIGHT COMMUNITY DANCE LESSONS - NMSU
A great way to learn many Ballroom, Latin, and Swing dances, featuring different dance patterns each week. In no time, you will find yourself social dancing. Great for date night!
What: Free Dance Lessons
When: 7:00 Level 1, 8:00 Level 2
Where: 3165 Williams Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88005 (Rentfrow Hall)
What to wear: Comfortable clothing, smooth/leather-soled or ballroom dance shoes if available. Please no flip flops or cowboy boots.
No experience necessary. No partner required. Open to the community. There will also be a “Level 2” lesson beginning at 8 p.m. for $5.00
THE SENIOR PROGRAMS MONTHLY SATURDAY NIGHT DANCE will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Munson Center, 975 S. Mesquite St. Admission is $3. Residents can purchase tickets at Munson Center the week of the dance, or at the door.
The Saturday Night Dance was previously held the third Saturday of every month in conjunction with the Thursday Afternoon Dance held the same week. Starting in August 2018 and moving forward, the Saturday Night Dance will be held the first Saturday of every month. “We moved the Saturday Night Dance to give residents opportunities throughout the entire month to dance,” said Sonia Saldana, senior programs administrator. “Previously, residents may only have been able to attend one of the dances in the same week. With the new schedule, they can attend both.
