🌿 HISTORY MADE & MINDS CULTIVATED! 🌿
​Today, the LBJ High School Howling Harvest Garden Club became the FIRST high school in Laredo to experience an exclusive, hands-on educational tour at Home Depot! 🌟
​Our students learned the secrets of plant care, soil types, and proper potting from the absolute pros.

​🛑 The Part That Blew Us Away...
​Two weeks ago, Garden Rep Mark Guerrero introduced Club Sponsor Mr. Mendoza to Asst. Mgr Barney Barrientos, who pitched the idea for this tour. We expected a great lesson—but we didn't expect the incredible flood of generosity! Home Depot surprised every student with personal gifts AND a massive donation of plants and supplies for our campus beautification! 🚚🌱

​Our day didn't end there! After hauling our new green treasures back to school, our dedicated members spent their evening (5 PM - 7 PM) welcoming the incoming Class of 2030 at the Freshman Campus! 💜

​When local leaders pour into our students, it motivates us to grow stronger and reach higher. The future at LBJ is bright, beautifully green, and led by amazing kids!

What an incredible kickoff for the Howling Harvest Gardening Club! The energy at our first session at Lyndon B. Johnson High School was absolutely electric.

​We’ve officially started tilling the ground, and seeing everyone jump in, hands in the dirt and fully engaged, was a powerful reminder of how much we all benefit from connecting with the outdoors. We couldn't have asked for a more fantastic start to the season!
