The lights are off, the barns are still,
The Ferris wheel rests on top of the hill.
Boots by the door, hats on the chair,
We’re sun-tired and happy — we’ve wrapped up the fair.
The rodeo’s echoes have faded to hush,
No more corndog lines or lemonade rush.
The baby goats napped, the tractors all gleamed,
And every kid left with a ribbon (or dreamed!).
The grandstands rocked with music and cheer,
Local bands, cold brews, and fair food each year.
We clapped, we danced, we stayed up too late —
Then raced back at dawn, right through the gate.
From the first funnel cake to the last bucket calf,
We worked, we played, we shared every laugh.
Volunteers hustled, rain or shine,
And pulled off a fair that was truly divine.
So thanks to the crowd, the crew, and each friend,
For making this fair one to love ’til the end.
We’ll rest for a minute, then start to prepare...
Just 365 days ‘til we’re back at the fair. 🎡
A huge thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, 4-H families, and fair board members who make it all possible!
