Please help us improve Indiana’s Salmon & Trout fishing!

We can ensure that every fish stocked is healthy and of the optimal size. Healthier and larger stocked fish means more survive, more thrive, and more return to our nearshore waters and tributaries!

Moving fish in the hatchery with a Transfer Pump instead of manually with nets will make that difference. The Hoosier Coho Club, joined by other stakeholders, are raising money to purchase a Transfer Pump to donate to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Mixsawbah and Bodine Hatcheries.

We have a significant request for anyone willing to support our fundraising efforts to assist our local Mixsawbah State Fish Hatchery in purchasing a crucial pump for their fish-raising operations.
We all know how important their work is to our livelihood and the cost of this piece of equipment is over $30K.
On June 13, 2026 the annual Port vs. Port Tournament presented by Stevens Marine will be held not only as a friendly competition for bragging rights between the ports of Michigan City and Portage, but as a fundraising opportunity for anyone who would like to support our fundraising efforts.

The public is invited to attend the Awards presentation after the tournament on June 13th that will include a complementary taco bar. Food will be available until it runs out. This will also be a BYOB event.

There will be raffles as well.

We will also be selling Port vs Port shirts to also raise money. You can pre order shirts to assure you get the desired color , size, and style.
There may be a very limited amount of shirts at the event to buy, but again..very limited quantities,sizes, styles.

Shirts are $30 each, available in White or Gray. Either color can be long sleeve or short sleeve. The images of the shirts is below.

NOTE—-ALL SHIRTS MUST BE PICKED UP AND PAID FOR AT THE PORT VS PORT AWARDS CEREMONY ON JUNE 13th.

Shirts can be paid for via cash or card at the event. Orders paid for by card will also include a 3% convenience fee.

If you and your crew will be attending the Captains Meeting tomorrow evening for the Coho Classic OR the Coho Classic Awards on Sunday—👉🏻NO OUTSIDE BEVERAGES WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE PAVILION!!! 👈🏻There will be a CASH BAR on both Friday and Sunday for you to purchase alcoholic beverages. 🍺🍻🥃🍸
We will also have FREE pop and water available as well.

These restrictions will be enforced in accordance to ATC Licensing requirements.

👉🏻👉🏻There will NOT be a bar on Saturday for the Day 1 weigh in. Feel free to BYOB on SATURDAY only.👈🏻
