Youth Chess back at The Village Lansing! ♟️

Starting this Saturday, October 31, our Youth Chess Club will meet every Saturday from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. This program is completely free and open to youth ages 9 to 17.

Whether your child is brand new to the board or looking to sharpen their strategy, this is a welcoming environment to learn the basics, build critical thinking skills, and make new friends. We are also thrilled to partner with the MSU College of Human Medicine Chess Club, whose members will be leading lessons!

Program Details:

CLS Director Dr. Linda Halgunseth will be teaching CLS 896 (HDFS 843) Latinx Families course next semester. Learn about Latinx youth and families from social and developmental perspectives. Topics will include parenting, siblings, youth development and adjustment, and more!

The Village Lansing is gearing up for our 8th Annual Trunk or Treat, and we need YOU to help make this another unforgettable night for our community!

We’re calling on local businesses, organizations, families, and community members to decorate their trunks, pass out candy, and help create a fun, safe Halloween experience for our kids! 👻🍬
