Happy Friday, Morgan County (and everyone else who's out here enjoying the beauty this weekend)!!

Here's what our local makers, bakers, and growers are bringing fresh for you today:
EGGS-- chicken and duck

PRODUCE--jalapeno peppers, butternut squash, beets, cabbage, okra, eggplants, alfalfa sprouts, and Music garlic (either for culinary or planting)

BAKED GOODS & TREATS-- sourdough loaves (country white, jalapeno cheddar, or tomato herb parmesan), focaccia, cinnamon bread, apple c***r bread, English muffins, mini pumpkin donuts, lemon icebox pie, cream pie cookies (oatmeal or chocolate), pumpkin roll (slices or whole), cookies (peanut butter or pumpkin spice chocolate chip)

OTHER-- kale salad, garden salsa (mild, medium, or spicy), corn & black bean salsa (mild or spicy), dressings/marinades (honey balsamic vinaigrette or lemon & herb vinaigrette), sweet & tangy coleslaw (if I don't run out of time!)

FREEZER-- Twice Baked Potatoes (spinach, mushroom & Swiss or Cheddar & onion), USDA ground beef, organic Fiesta chicken (fully cooked and ready to be made into tacos/quesadillas), potato skins (with shredded BBQ organic chicken and red onions), protein bowls (organic Chili Lime Chicken or organic Chicken & Veggies), organic pasta with herbs & veggies (with or without chicken), southwest stuffed peppers (vegetarian or with ground turkey), shells & cheese, marinated organic chicken breasts (Hawaiian or lemongrass & rosemary)

We're open Fridays from 2-8, Saturdays 8-8, and Sundays 8-2.

Alright, y'all, the last Community Yard Sale for this year is coming up on November 7th, and I'm REALLY counting on the weather being good-- I've been accumulating my "get rid of" collection in the guest room and it needs to get GONE before the holiday houseguest season!! 🤪🤣

Good morning, Morgan County! Looks like we've got a BEAUTIFUL day ahead of us! This weekend, maybe not so much, but forecasts are constantly changing around here, so we'll see...

Here's what our local makers, bakers, and growers are supplying for you this weekend:

BAKED GOODS & TREATS-- yeast bread loaves, cinnamon bread, GLUTEN FREE mini cakes, lemon icebox pie (plain or with blackberries), cinnamon rolls, cream pie cookies (oatmeal or chocolate), apple cake, muffins (pumpkin & chocolate chip or strawberry white chocolate), potato candy (don't let the name mislead you-- they're like cheesecake bites!), and sourdough bread loaves (caramel latte, jalapeno cheddar, sundried tomato garlic & parmesan, pepperjack & black pepper, everything bagel & cream cheese)

OTHER-- potato salad (mustard or dill), garden salsa (mild, medium, or spicy), and ready-to-grill Hawaiian marinated organic chicken breasts

One of the things I've enjoyed most about this market so far, is seeing how generous our community is!

It started with some neighbors who didn't want the patio table they found in their newly purchased property and offered it to me for FREE! They didn't know me; they just wanted to do something nice to contribute to our community. Since then, various neighbors and friends have offered their surplus produce, so it can feed people rather than rot in their garden. And 2 local growers have dropped off seeds to be given away. A friend has given me a Little Library to fill with books for kids to take (it's on my project list!), and other friends have offered to help me build a covered outdoor area for next year's produce stand and firewood shelter. So many people want to see Morgan County's community network grow and strengthen... THANK YOU to everyone who's helping build this thing, whether as a vendor, customer, or generous neighbor!

BREAD, BAKED GOODS & TREATS-- Yeast bread loaves, country white sourdough loaves, Focaccia (tomato garlic/Italian herbs), banana bread, pecan streusel pumpkin bread, Mexican cornbread, pumpkin spice swirl mini loaves, GLUTEN FREE banana walnut muffins, pumpkin cinnamon rolls, cream pie cookies (oatmeal or chocolate), lemon icebox pie, banana pudding, s'mores cookies, carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting

Oh, my goodness, Morgan County! I've been so busy, I forgot to post a reminder about the Community Yard Sale coming up this Saturday! Most of y'all already know-- it's the first Saturday of every month and set-up is free. :-)
It looks like there's some rain moving in Friday evening and sticking around all weekend, but of course the forecast means nothing at all around here! We'll see.
