What is American Tribal Bellydance? It is "tribal" in the sense that it is interactive group dance. Tribal bellydance typically displays costumes which are almost gypsy like but use a lot of earth tones, tassels, braids, jingles and layers rather than silk and sequins. Music can be light, contemporary or have heavy percussion with a lot of drums.
