What a day for EAA Chapter 25!

On Saturday, we officially celebrated the Grand Opening of our brand new hangar, and our members showed up in every possible way. Tables were set up, grills were fired, floors were swept, and three volunteers were out directing traffic in the rain.

The hangar itself is already something special. Kevin Knutson got the Bordem Fighter mounted on the wall last week, and a crew of members helped Ron Robideau hang the Gusty; it was quite the operation, but it looks incredible.

The ceremony was something to remember. Michael Schweiss joined us with his family to see the dedication plaque and a matted picture signed by members. Pam Rosch was there for Gary's plaque. Charlie Becker came over from OSH and told the story of EAA in a way that reminded all of us why we do this.

Oh, and we fed about 200 people. Burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, and ice cream cake. The hangar was absolutely buzzing. Thank you to every volunteer and everyone who showed up and made this happen. We have more great things ahead!

See you today at our Open house.

Thanks to Mike Schoen, Jim Fischer, Tom Richards, Ron Robideau, and Alan Knutson, volunteering their time for a successful appearance at the Lakeville Sports and Activities Festival on Saturday February 21, 2026. We had kids rivet 100 EAA keychains that they could take home with them as a memento. We gave away brochures and magazines as well. A good time was had by all, and some positive publicity about Chapter 25 was generated!
