Some stories just stick with you — and Connor Johnson’s is one of them. After being diagnosed with stage‑4 medulloblastoma in 2015 and pushing through radiation, 48 weeks of chemo, and brain surgery, Connor has never stopped showing what true grit looks like.

This fall, he joined us again for an adventure at Steve Porter’s Trophy Whitetails, where he dropped an amazing buck. A huge win for a young man who’s battled more than most ever will.

We’re thrilled to share that Cameron Rannow just returned from an unforgettable elk hunt in Colorado with Cross Mountain Outfitters—and he brought home a fantastic bull elk.

Cameron’s strength and determination have defined his entire life. He underwent his first open‑heart surgery at just 8 days old, his second at 6 months, and after three years on the heart transplant list, he received his new heart in February 2026.

Seeing Cameron out on the mountain living this adventure is exactly why we do what we do. Congratulations, Cameron, on an incredible hunt and an inspiring journey.

We’re excited to share an update on 13‑year‑old Jaiden Oldakowski. On Jaiden's recent adventure he made two perfect shots — harvesting a trophy mule deer at Cross Mountain Outfitters on Four Mile Ranch in Colorado, and a trophy antelope at Q Creek Ranch in Wyoming.

Jaiden’s determination and spirit continue to inspire everyone around him. We’re proud of this incredible young man and grateful to our partners who helped make his adventure unforgettable.

We’re thrilled to share that Klaus Friederich of Golden Valley, MN recently returned from his hunt at Steve Porter’s Trophy Whitetails, and the adventure couldn’t have gone better. Klaus made an absolutely perfect shot and harvested a trophy whitetail deer, wrapping up an unforgettable experience in the field.

Elijah Martindale of Elk River is back from his fishing adventure at Thunderbird Lodge on Rainy Lake, and what a trip it was!
Elijah has already faced more medical challenges than most people see in a lifetime, but out on the water he got the chance to relax, recharge, and make some incredible memories. Just look at the trophy northern!

Huge thank‑you to the team at Thunderbird Lodge for helping make this adventure special. Welcome back, Elijah — congratulations!

We’re thrilled to share that 11‑year‑old Jonas Rigo has returned from his Lake Vermilion houseboat adventure — and he had an incredible time.

Jonas was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth, and he’s spent his life navigating daily treatment and medication. Despite those challenges, he approaches every day with remarkable strength and positivity.

During his adventure, Jonas explored the lake, enjoyed time on the houseboat, and spent a couple great days on the water fishing with guides Justin Chromy of Patriot Guide Service and Bill Nieters. Jonas made memories that will stay with him forever.

Our adventure recipient Richard Dominguez Hernandez recently returned from an unforgettable week on Devil’s Lake. After being diagnosed in February 2025 with Ph‑like B‑cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and completing a full year of chemotherapy on 2/29/26, Richard finally got the chance to relax, recharge, and enjoy the outdoors.
Fishing with legendary guide Big John Adams, Richard caught a bunch of fish and made memories to last a lifetime.
We’re so proud of this young man and thrilled he had such a great adventure.
