Lakeville Yellow Ribbon Coming home from war is not easy. When combat veterans return to their communities, they face the challenges of putting their lives back together.

Beyond the Yellow Ribbon is a comprehensive program that creates awareness for the purpose of connecting Servicemembers and their families with community support, training, services and resources. Veterans are confronted with reconnecting with family and peers and reentering the workforce. Lakeville has more than 100 active duty service men and women representing all branches of the service, many

of whom are currently deployed. The Lakeville Beyond the Yellow Ribbon campaign recognizes that the struggles of re-integrating to life back at home can be eased when veterans return to a community that honors and supports them. The mission of the Lakeville Beyond the Yellow Ribbon campaign is to help bring our veterans ALL THE WAY HOME by:

-Recognizing and honoring our local veterans and their families.
-Creating a city pathway to veteran and family support resources.
-Building partnerships with and offer opportunities for those who want to assist veterans and their families.
-Providing resources and awareness of veteran issues to the community.
-Helping to strengthen and build support for local organizations and programs that honor veterans.b

Our great partners at the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Network continue their impressive support of our veterans. A special thanks to Cara Anderson for her leadership in bringing the teen group, Lionheart 2020 to pack boxes for the:
-75th Army Rangers deployed to Afghanistan
-407th Army Reserve deployed to Europe
-133rd Air wing of the Minnesota Air National Guard deployed to the near east.
MACV is proud to have great partners such as this as we drive on with our mission to end veterans homelessness.
