Aerospace Center for Excellence We aim to engage, educate, and accelerate the next generation of aerospace professionals.

The Florida Air Museum, "Florida’s Official Aviation Museum and Education Center” features a dynamic display of the best examples aviation has to offer including one-of-a-kind designs, classics, ultra-lights, antiques and warbirds. But the Museum is more than a collection of airplanes; it is a tribute to the history and joy of flight highlighting pioneers such as Howard Hughes, early air racers, a

nd countless Floridians who have influenced the world of aviation. The Museum also offers a variety of unique year-round educational experiences for all ages including camps, tours, workshops and speaker presentations.

Come see what’s new at the Florida Air Museum during our Grand Re-opening Weekend, September 4–6, 2026 — with FREE ADMISSION all weekend!

We’ve been busy making improvements, and now it’s time to open the doors and invite you in to experience them for yourself.

✨ Explore the improvements, including our new glass storefront connecting the museum to the playground and offering an incredible view of the Boeing 727 and other outdoor exhibits.
🏆 Discover our brand-new Hall of Fame exhibit, celebrating the people who have helped shape Florida’s aviation legacy.
🚀 Visit the improved NOAA Exhibit and see what it's like to fly through a hurricane!

Calling all homeschool families with students in 3rd–5th grade, ages 8–11! Join us at the Aerospace Center for Excellence on October 2, 2026, for a field trip experience designed with homeschoolers in mind! 🚀🎒

We know every homeschool journey is unique, so we’ve created special field trip days tailored to students by age. Each field trip runs from 9:30 AM–12:00 PM, with engaging experiences lasting 45 minutes each. Give your homeschooler a chance to learn, explore, and experience aviation in a whole new way! ✈️

A HUGE thank you to American Airlines for donating 300 iPads to the Aerospace Center for Excellence! These devices were formerly used as Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs) by American Airlines pilots. ✈️🫶

We also want to thank Apkudo for donating the software licensing and project management fees to prepare the iPads for use at ACE. Your support makes a tremendous difference in helping us provide engaging, technology-driven educational opportunities year-round. 🛫
