Calling all artists!

The Lake Worth Beach City Library presents
🎨 1st ever National Library Week Art Exhibition “Books in Art” 📚️

📣 Call for Art 🖼️

• Pieces can include book jackets, depictions of story settings or characters as long as the connection to the book is evident, or people reading, holding books.

• Deadline for submissions is: Saturday, April 11th

• The exhibition will be hung in the Library’s Strait Museum room from Tuesday, April 21st through Friday, May 22nd.
• There will be cash prizes of $500, $250, $100 for Best in Show, 2nd and 3rd place.
• Opening reception will be Friday evening, April 24, at 6:00 pm •Submissions of original art must be matted, framed, ready to hang, and brought to the Library.
• There is a $20.00 hanging fee. Cash, credit, or check paid to the Lake Worth Beach Public Library.
• If an item is sold the artist will receive 80% and the library will receive 20%
• Items must be picked up from the Library no later than Saturday, May 23rd.

🚨Traffic Alert 🚨

On Sunday, March 29, the Palm Beach Pride Parade starts at 11 AM. The parade travels down Lake Ave in Downtown Lake Worth Beach into Bryant Park to kick off the second day of Pride festivities.

For the safety of the Parade participants parking and vehicular traffic will be temporarily prohibited from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the following roads:

1. Lucerne Ave from M St to J St
2. Lake Ave from Dixie Hwy to Golfview Rd
3. J St between Lake Ave and Lucerne Ave

🌈Please follow detours and allow extra time when traveling in this area. The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office may be towing vehicles parked on the listed streets in violation of this temporary order.
