Awesome day for making art at the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival. Lee Savage did a fabulous job of recreating Mer-Mutt, his original artwork, directing Ryan and Lisa to help him make Mer-Mutt come to life on the street in chalk. Come on out to the Lake Worth Beach Street Painting Legacy Lake Worth Street Painting Festival this Saturday and Sunday, Feb 24-25..
Look for our own student artist Lee Savage create a fun and vibrant chalk painting with help from Lisa and Ryan.
The A4A chalk art piece, an original humorous aquatic themed artwork by Lee, should be finished by 1pm or so on Saturday. Come by and visit us from 10 am - 1pm Saturday and say hi. Post photos of the A4A artwork chalk painting if you come by later Saturday or Sunday.
The festival is held in downtown Lake Worth Beach. We are usually on Lucerne Avenue by the City Library. The event is free and is a wonderful and very colorful art experience.

Today we feature a fun video tutorial on How to MAKE A FLIPBOOK of your own.
What is a flipbook? It is a bunch of pages held together to form a booklet with an image or picture on each page that very gradually/slowly changes from one page to the next, so that when you hold the flipbook in one hand and flip through the pages with your other hand the images are viewed as they quickly go by one after another and appear to animate, looking like a cartoon in motion.
You have to draw a lot of the images, one on each page with just a slight difference, so it is real good practice for drawing as well as fun to play with making your own moving cartoon.
