and success. Inspired by Baby Stella, our mission is to help cover out-of-pocket expenses for medically necessary eyewear and vision treatments that are denied by health insurance. Through compassion, advocacy, and direct support, we strive to remove barriers and help every child and adult reach their milestones with clarity and confidence. Stella's Fund Inc is a registered nonprofit, and all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Together, we can help every child see a brighter future—one milestone at a time. This week's eye health term is:

👁️ AMBLYOPIA 👁️ Also known as "Lazy Eye"

Amblyopia occurs when one eye doesn't develop normal vision during childhood, causing the brain to favor one eye over the other.

🔍 Signs may include:
• One eye wandering inward or outward
• Squinting or closing one eye
• Difficulty with depth perception
• Poor vision in one eye

💡 Did you know? Early detection is important! The sooner amblyopia is identified and treated, the better the chance of improving vision.

Today's eye health term is Hyperopia (also known as farsightedness).

Did you know that children with hyperopia may have difficulty seeing things up close, even though distant objects may appear clearer? Signs can include headaches, eye strain, squinting, or trouble focusing while reading.

💡 The good news? Regular eye exams can help detect vision issues early and keep your child's eyes healthy as they grow.
