On Monday, Jan. 27, if you don’t want to cook dinner and would rather support The Alex Barajas Foundation buy grilled chicken dinner tickets for $10 each. You can get them at Blueberry Patch. (Pick up dinners at the Genesis Center from 4:30 to 6:30.) Huge thank you to my friends and sponsors. You guys mean the world to my family and I ! ❤️

We hope everyone had a blessed Christmas! This year we will be raising money in Alex memory for cancer research by selling baked chicken dinners! Alex Barajas #24 we continue to raise money for cancer research in your honor! Here is part of the team that makes it all happen! When you were alive you never hesitated to be part of the research and because of that I have peace knowing that your cancer was not hereditary and it's not going to happen to Missy and Haley. It's environmental and we need to learn more about it. We miss you and love you so much. If I could climb to heaven I'd be the first one to run to you and hug you and kiss you.

ALEX is super proud his baby sister! She has so mant qualities like him. Soon she starts middle school and she wants to take art just like her brother did. She is a naturally talented artist like Alex. 😍

As a Mother all I ever wanted was to raise my kids right and give them a great example in me. Tonight Missy showed me what a strong, young woman she is. I am so proud of her. She has had the honor of awarding a Lake Placid High School graduating senior a $1,000 scholarship on behalf of the Alex Barajas Foundation for 5 years now. Tonight she presented this award to Charity Wood! Congratulations! 👩🏻‍🎓❤

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Alex Barajas 5k successful today! We had about 200 people registered to run it. I especially want to thank the Lake Placid Police Department for keeping us safe. I know Alex was smiling down on everyone of us. See you again next year!

How do we keep Alex's memory alive? By raising money for cancer research during his birthday month- January. We could focus on the sad feelings but instead we focus on helping others! If you haven't signed up you still have time. The 5K is on January 21, 2017. Here's a picture of Alex in Hawaii for his Make A Wish. Priceless!

With only a week away from Thanksgiving, I think about all the things I am thankful for. One huge one is the support that we receive for the Alex Barajas Foundation from all of you. Once again we were able to donate $10,000 to Dr. Smith at Arnold Palmer Hospital for cancer research. Registration starts Monday for the next 5k on January 21,2017. Pick up your form at the Blueberry Patch or LCE.
