The GFWC Lake Placid Junior Woman’s Club held their end-of-the-year donation meeting. Monetary donations were made to many local charitable organizations, including: Manna Ministries, One Hope United, Heartland For Children, Settlers Cemetery Project, Peace, River Domestic Shelter, and, Pawsitive Effects (a local pet rescue organization).

Come join us at Tropical Winery from 12-3pm today. We will have live music, lunch, opportunity baskets, silent auction and 50/50. Tickets $25. Proceeds to help local organizations and charities.

In Support of the Director’s Project, Royally Served. We are proud to be participating in Feeding Tampa Bay’s Cereal for Summer campaign as we work to nourish bodies, restore dignity, and serve with love.

GFWC Florida Director of Junior Clubs Sherry Clendinen is proud to introduce her 2026–2028 Director’s Project: Royally Served

Royally Served is focused on addressing food insecurity across Florida by nourishing bodies, restoring dignity, and serving with love. Through food drives, meal packing events, community gardens, food pantry support, and hands-on service projects, GFWC Florida hope to make a meaningful impact in communities throughout the state.

Over the next two years, the goal of Royally Served is to help provide 250,000 meals to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

This project is about more than providing meals—it is about ensuring that every person served feels valued, respected, and cared for, because everyone deserves to be treated like royalty. 👑

Together, we can make a difference—one meal, one act of kindness, and one life at a time.

An incredible time at convention this year. Yes, we were lucky enough to win several awards but nothing beat honoring Joanne Schiefer being inducted as District 9 Junior District Director and Terry Reese as Florida State President. It was our absolute honor to stand up for you as you begin this new chapter. Congratulations Ladies. Congratulations to all the Ladies you were inducted this weekend.
