We are thrilled to welcome our newest staff member, Kiley, to Legendary Lake Mills!
Kiley may be a familiar face, as she grew up on her family’s farm just outside of Lake Mills and attended Lake Mills public schools, graduating in 2017. She briefly attended college in St. Paul, Minnesota, before transferring to the University of Wisconsin–Madison. During her time at UW–Madison, she was actively involved with the Model United Nations team and the Association of Women in Agriculture. In December 2020, Kiley graduated with a double major in Communication Arts and Political Science and a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies.
Following graduation, Kiley continued working at the UW–Madison Office of Student Financial Aid before being accepted into the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Public Health Associate Program. Over the next three years, she worked with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services in its HIV/ HCV and STD Prevention Program. Through her work with federal and state government agencies, Kiley collaborated with local communities and nonprofit organizations to promote public health and create healthier communities.
Although she found her work deeply rewarding, Kiley missed her family and the community she called home. In 2024, she returned to Wisconsin and eventually accepted a management position with Michaels in Madison. There, she enjoyed assisting customers and fostering a welcoming, positive environment where both employees and customers could find inspiration, creativity, and connection.
When the opportunity arose to join Legendary Lake Mills as Program Assistant, Kiley was excited to bring together her diverse experiences, skills, and passion for community engagement. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships, helping others succeed, and showcasing the unique people, places, and hidden gems that make Lake Mills such a special community.
