Local Girl Scout and Anonymous Donor Sweeten the Day for LaGrange First Responders with Massive Cookie Donation
The LaGrange community extended a sweet gesture of gratitude, as a total of 324 boxes of Girl Scout cookies were donated to the City of LaGrange Police Department, the Troup County Sheriff's Office, and the LaGrange Fire Department.
The donation was a joint effort between a generous anonymous donor and dedicated local Girl Scout, Abigail Parham. This act of kindness was organized to express appreciation for the tireless work and dedication of the city and county's first responders.
Abigail Parham, a Senior Girl Scout in Troop 20792, and student at Callaway High School, spearheaded the delivery of the cookies, personally ensuring that all three departments received a substantial quantity of the beloved treats.
βIt's a small way to say thank you to the heroes who keep us safe every day,β said Deanne Atcherson, Troop Leader of Troop 20792 in LaGrange. βWe are incredibly proud of Abigail and grateful to the anonymous donor for their thoughtfulness and generosity. Our first responders work around the clock, and this is a wonderful pick-me-up for their teams.β
The 324 boxes, featuring a variety of flavors, will be distributed among personnel across the police department, sheriff's office, and fire department over the coming days. The donation highlights the strong bond between the local community and its public safety officials.
Abigail's Troop still has several cases of cookies available if anyone else in the community would like to purchase cookies, or donate them to first responders, teachers, or a specific business or non-profit that's special to you.
