Behind the foster scenes …

The feline side of rescue has been BUSY.. and currently not taking on any more fosters.

Elvira a community cat who came into our care a few months back has been doing well on her social skills. She has had to learn to get along with other cats understanding that she does not have to fight for resources . There is plenty for everyone .. once we realized that we have calmed down quite a bit. We still have boundaries but less defensive.

Momma Ginger Snaps has decreased skippity paps significantly as I believe her hormones are lowering. The boys are still nursing but beginning to wean as they transitioned to wet foods and solids. First vet visit Friday .. yielded
A LOT..
Dorian- coccidia
Tucker- (formerly Clover since trouble puffs showed up) hook worm
George- URI AND roundworm
Fred- clear f***l no issues
Idk 🤷🏼‍♀️ everyone should have the same issues but they don’t even though they have never been outside the cubby lol Thanks mom lol
So all four boys plus momma are on three meds and quarantine till clear ..

And surprise Monroe joined us with Roundworm … quarantined … meds and passed his f***l PARASITE FREE…

With that being said we are in need of …
Latex gloves
Cleaning supplies
Wipes
And cat litter …

We have to disinfect daily to kill all viruses and prevent cross contamination or reinfestation ..

Behind the foster scenes … sorry for the silence on updates but the first few weeks for kittens are critical … so much could go wrong ..I’ve been monitoring closely and not only have all our eyes opened but we have all successfully reached ONE pound .. 🎉 🎉 🎉
We have one ginger female and three male gingers … as you can see Momma Ginger Snaps is doing a great job and mildly irritated with her offspring time to time as every mother gets LOL
She has found a little corner she likes to be her hidey hole where she feels safe ..
We did have a small cold that everyone had to take meds for .. with eye ointment but .. all is well !
The kittens have started moving around and it won’t be long before they will start going in the box ..
We are in need of some supplies to help keep them happy and healthy …

Squeeze treats

I had a shelter reach out about 8 four week old puppies that were dumped without their momma. Although my intake is closed, I didn’t have the heart to say no. Although the staff is outstanding and trying to do what they can for them, they need more care and a warm safe place, not a shelter. So, with that being said, I will be picking them up in the morning. 6 girls and 2 boys. The smallest weighs 3.04 lbs and the largest weighs 3.76 lbs. They are tiny and vulnerable. Welcome to Trash2Treasured Animal Rescue little ones. You are loved already! ❤️🐾

**. FOSTERS NEEDED **

I have been asked to help these 3 terrified Doxie mixes but I need fosters. They were left in a box at the door of the shelter 😡. They are scared and will need someone with patience and to work with them to overcome their fear. They have been failed by humans and we need to let them know that not all of us are evil.

They are 1 year old and have been vaccinated and spayed/neutered. 2 females 1 male. They are 8 and 9 lbs. They can be split up between foster homes if needed. All food, supplies and medical provided.

Behind the foster scenes .
Phew the last 48 hours have been a whirlwind for the cat side of our lovely little rescue 🙌🏼… but here’s the back story ..
For the last two months I have been monitoring the stray cat population in my direct neighborhood… gauging a game plan on how to TNR… a ginger female showed up VERY pregnant but so skittish she kept jetting off .. I sat in my car watching the foot traffic on my porch and after seeing her goat belly decided it was time to dust off my trapping skills again ..
We just DIDN’T have anymore time to spare .. I baited my trap .. asked for some divine providence ..
and boom .. trapped her first night .. stashed her at my besties next door … Next day of course all the vets closed early but managed to find one for shots in AL .. my cousin trucked us out there since my car is heading to the shop . All adult fosters coming in MUST have rabies shots before entering my house bc of the multiple cases lately here in Georgia. My son prepped the cubby and we moved our other foster down a cubby … after shots Ginger Snaps came back and yelled at me from the corner .. I started the decompression phase … back scratcher for pets .. grabber for squeeze treats .. I got a look at her lady bits and knew we didn’t have long …
THE NEXT DAY … I checked on her after work and there were two kittens … then three … she is for sure a first time mom … I geared up .. birthing gear .. head lamp ... welding gloves... paper towels ... latex gloves ... Lysol wipes ... back scratcher .... "grabber " to ease snacks to her in between births ... not my first rodeo with a feral mom can you tell lol
A fourth kitten … then as I checked I saw placenta .. and a fifth baby born sleeping 😢 and finally by almost two AM the final sixth baby was also born sleeping ..
while losing two is very heartbreaking 💔 it is to be expected in a brand new confused mom of her size .. and her station as a community cat … reality is many of these babies probably wouldn’t have made it this far or out there lived to four weeks old …
Ginger Snaps slept in the box overnight then she and her newborns (two and a surprise set of twins still connected to one placenta) were moved into the freshly laundered welping bed this morning .. while Doula Miki worked a shift at her virtual regular job running on espresso and hopes and dreams lol
Momma and babies are resting and well .. and Ginger Snaps didn’t even hiss at me when I checked on them after work …
The food she’s eating .. came from our donors ..
The wipes, gloves and paper towels used to clean up also from our donors …
AND the squeeze treats ALSO from all of you !

Elvira 🫶🏻 She was a community cat until she was no longer safe in her neighborhood… Elvira now spayed and vaccinated .. adores people … she is progressing well on her social skills lol We are venturing out of the cubby daily getting used to the presence of other animals including other cats and dogs .. She sets boundaries and then moves on .. She is very food motivated .. and mistress of her litter box lol
We are running low on a few things ..

🐾🐾🐾 Fosters needed 🐾🐾🐾

I have been asked to help a family of mini Aussies. They are the product of double Merle breeding. Puppies are 7 weeks old. 2 are blind and 2 have vision. Momma is deaf. Momma and Daddy are believed to be young at just under 2 years old. The 2 puppies with vision have been spoken for and will be leaving next Friday. We are uncertain if they are hearing impaired as well.

THANK YOU ANONYMOUS DONORS! Not only did you all cover Ms Elvira but we were able to feed four strays that wandered up during the snow flurries today ! And we are able to cubby one free roamer who is not feeling well .. currently on meds for a snotty nose … he’s enjoying the warmth with fresh wet food thanks to all of you !!!

We literally couldn’t do this without support from our village !

Please meet the first official cat foster for 2026 … Elvira 🫶🏻 She was a community cat until she was no longer safe in her neighborhood… Elvira now spayed and vaccinated .. adores people … other animals not quite yet lol We are learning social skills as we go … baby steps .. She is currently quarantined with a sniffle and recovering from surgery ..
