One Acadiana is a business-led, privately-funded economic development organization serving a nine-parish (county) area in South Louisiana, and also serves as the Chamber of Commerce for the city of Lafayette. The organization is located in the city of Lafayette and serves a region of roughly 700,000 people with a vibrant culture and unique entrepreneurial spirit.

Our workforce needs continue to evolve — and Acadiana employers are helping shape the conversation. 🗣️

One Acadiana recently convened a group of over 50 regional IT employers, educators, workforce partners, and economic development organizations for the latest 1A Industry Roundtable.

From AI and technical skills to communication, adaptability, and work-based learning opportunities, the discussion reinforced the importance of aligning education and workforce needs to support the region’s growing technology sector.

The 1A Industry Roundtable Series is part of One Acadiana ConnectEd - an initiative fostering meaningful connections between business and education. 🤝
